Hey guys, first off, I'm not really new to vaping, although I definitely wouldn't call myself a veteran. I started 8 months ago, and since then I've watched countless hours of videos, I've tried my best to educate myself on everything, and I'm about to buy my fourth mech mod, but I have a few basic questions that I'm still sketchy about.
Connections
So, I'm slowly getting into the long process of learning about and trying cloud-chasing. But I want to know how much of a difference there is in voltage drop between copper contacts and 24k gold plated brass contacts, or silver plated brass, or solid brass, etc. Should I avoid mods that have copper contacts, or is it not really a big deal?
Clones vs Authentics
Now I've done a lot of research, and I don't feel like authentics are really worth it, but it seems to me each side claims different things. I look at it from a technical standpoint, and the only real difference I could imagine would be between the materials used in the contacts. So what's the big difference between authentics and clones? Is it just to be able to brag?
Difference between variable voltage/wattage mods, box mods, and mechanical mods
Obviously there is some aesthetical difference, and box mods can hold multiple batteries but I've only ever paid attention to mechanical mods, so is there some big huge great difference I'm not seeing here? And what is the difference?
