I don't have a regular one and have decided to jump straight to a mini. I'm trying to wait until Black Friday, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to hold out.

If i had known a mini was coming out,i would not have bought the full size,but at the time,there was no mini yet,and the regular one was getting rave reviews.I guess it's that whole differing opinions thing haha,but i really did not like the regular one at all.I gave it to my son,and he likes it,but i don't know if likes because it works good for him,or because it didn't cost him anything haha.I don't have a regular one and have decided to jump straight to a mini. Eciggity sells em for ~$20 and they got it to me in 4 days
the only way I get any flavor out of the thing is to have the air slots totally closed and just use the tiny holes

If the center insulator is tight , which it probably is, you can unscrew the post giving it length, just don't over tighten it, or loan it out
If I were to buy this combo or "hybrid", does that mean I can't use the mechanical with other RTA's/rda's? TIA.
That mech is designed to have battery slop/play when you hit the button it pushes the entire battery into the post, so it rattles . makes for a heavy button about as cheesy as it gets,

My full size Tobeco clone has been excellent. Great flavor, good clouds, and the build quality is excellent. A friend that has both tells me that the flavor on the mini is even better than the full sized. I will get one soon.
I've never had a smpl,but i have a 4nine and this is exactly why it has never gotten used.I hate that battery rattle,and the button is so stiff,the whole thing slides in my hand while trying to push the button hard enough for the battery to make contact.
