So just today after waiting for weeks for my oversees order to arrive I got my velocity rda.

After taking it apart i noticed that it has an abrasion or rather small little bumps in the threads.

i suppose because the velocity has to be pushed in then screwed that may have caused it?

is this something i should worry about? can it be fixed somehow or will this cause me issues?

or is it too tiny of an issue to fuss/worry about?

i am sorry my phone camera is not doing so well but you'll get the idea when you see the not-so-clear pics :)

Well you do have to "push it down" so the cap can slide over the oring and meet the threads (which is a very "good" push due to the thick oring)

But the line I see in the threads, pointed in the picture, just looks like a scratch on the threads from being machined. Like I said, it shouldn't affect usage, or even be aesthetically displeasing since it is covered when in use ;)

:facepalm:

Keep causing confusion.

Yes it is normal to push down to pass the o-ring. Carefully find the threading to avoid cross thread damage.

If the Blemished threads do not cause cap to stop and not screw into place, there is nothing to worry about.
Threads will naturally clean up some with use.

Looks like it got bumped around in a Box full heading to the paint booth.:glare:

If it works....................work it! :vapor::vapor::vapor:
