I'd definitely recommend at least a little steeping for Mewlew's, anyway. The chocolate definitely gets better after a few days. Maple Mountain I'll vape right out of the mailbox. I'll have to admit I haven't tried Campfire or Night Shift unsteeped (and haven't tried Vanilla Custard at all yet).

Maple Mountain is a subtle maple flavor. Will let it sit for a few weeks and see how it changes.

Vanilla Custard is great! Not at all complex, you get just what the title says. I am noticing that all the juices so far have a smooth feel on the mouth, somewhat similar to the feel of Boba's Bounty (very different flavor). Will move on to the next when the RBA dries up.

Oh man I was so pleasantly surprised by mewlew's and monkey business! Wish I had ordered more of them since I'll probably fly through these within weeks.... But I do wish they had an 18mg nic cause i feel that my draws are offering very little throat hit if any at all on my ody? I'm going to rewrap the coils and give it another go, but they have the best chocolate flavor i've tried as of yet! I wonder what the extracting process is for these? It taste just like the real deal dark chocolate! White beard is very good too, but it's been neglected cause of the other flavors lol

Night Shift---what a terrific flavor! I am one of those who has never liked chocolate flavors, but Night Shift is, as advertised, a chocolate doughnut and coffee that is realistic and rich but with almost no detectable sweetness. I can't wait to try this in the morning with my coffee. I am using this in a Cubica clearomizer (T2 style) and the vapor is ridiculous... I hate to say this but it is truly velvety clouds:)

Folks who have been looking for the elusive mocha/coffee/chocolate vape may have found their Holy Grail here.

Also tried Maple Mountain but like Bappo, I find it too subtle yet, time will give it strength I hope.

Cool... glad you like that one. I didn't get to it until my second or third round of orders because... well, it's got chocolate and coffee, and that's just asking for trouble from most vendors. I fully expected to hate it, but now it's one that I'll order in big bottles. Still in my noobie "gotta try 'em all" mode so I don't have a very long list of juices I'm willing to commit to yet, but this is one of 'em.

It's definitely a bit on the subtle side, especially for something like a maple. I've always been the type to just put a little drizzle of syrup on my pancakes, though, so it's right up my alley. It may get stronger with steeping, though... I have a bottle I'm forcing myself not to touch for a little while longer so I can find out what happens.

I on the other hand am the type to utterly drown my pancakes in syrup:) I am surely not giving up on Maple Mountain: it's still just a young'un.

Just reviewed White Beard on the NT thread.. also have Burley Beard, Monkey Business, Mewlew's Magic (steeping a bit longer on your rec), and a freebie 15ml of Chocolate Pudding.

So, Monkey Business... I think I finally found one I'm not thrilled with.

Here's the tagline: "A really unique recipe of bananas, fudge, cake batter and coffee! It's the 'banana e-liquid that makes everyone change their mind about banana e-liquids'"

You'd think with all that stuff in there that I'd be jumping for joy. I mean, VCV has already impressed me with how they do chocolate and coffee, so this one should have been an easy shot right out of the park, right? Unfortunately, not for me, anyway.

I think this may be a case where the subtlety of VCV's juices might just be working against them. The banana is great. It's very authentic, and not too sweet, but also not very strong, either. I get some of that fudge if I really feel around for it, as sort of an aftertaste to the banana. The cake batter and coffee? I'm sure they're in there somewhere, but I'm having a really hard time finding them.

This one's going back on the steep shelf for a while... I think it's only been a week or so, and I'm not going to give up on it. At this point, though, I'm just finding it so subdued that it's the first VCV juice I've not been particularly excited about.

Hey all, I'm very interested in this vendor...I've been on a little bit of a new juice kick as of late, trying to expand my repertoire beyond my usual all day vapes...I like the boutiquey vibe VCV has goin on over there...

Can anyone shed some more light on their tobacco flavors? Scarf, read your review on the NT thread, sounds like this one is up my alley -- have you (or anyone else) tried any of the other tobaccos?

Im also pretty tempted by this Nightshift...found an old bottle of Mocha Java Drizzle from VapeDudes in my drawer the other day and loaded up the RBA and was pleasantly surprised...Nightshift sounds like it could be a gourmet improvement on the old coffee chocolate...

My all day as of the past few months has been Rawr's J55...not sure if any have tried but its a cocoa/chocolate/hazelnut tobacco that always keeps me coming back...seeing as I go through 55ml a week of that stuff though it gets a little old now and again...

I ramble, but I'm mostly just saying hi and posting to subscribe too :)

Hi Better,

I also have the Burley Beard but it is steeping along with the chocolate flavors. Will post back here when I give it a go.

Night Shift, I have zero problem recommending. Chocolatey coffeeish heaven, with a little bit of cakeyness from the doughnut.

Maple Mountain is good, just subtle. It actually tastes really lovely but I prefer my flavors stronger.

Do try them, and let us know what you think!

By the way, can I say that I adore your crystallized skull? PROPS:)

All over the place
Vendor: Velvet Cloud Vapor
Juice: Blue Beard Tobacco
Ratio: 100% VG 24 mg
Extraction: In-house OEA extracted Tobacco Absolute
Strands: Virginia and Honey Cured Tobacco
Additional Ingredients: Blackberries and Blueberry Essence
Price: 15 mL-$8, 30 mL-$15

Vendor Description: An artisanal mix of Virginia and honey cured tobacco, blackberries, and blueberry essence.

I have been out of the reviewing frame of mind for quite some time, but this juice and vendor are worthy of my impressions.

When I first got the juice it really reminded me, by aroma mostly, of Gold Rising, a non-aromatic from Ahlusion. I had forgotten what was in BBT while first vaping it, but upon revisiting the site, I was clued in on why it is that it reminded me of GR: the Honey Cured! The rather mild Virginia and Honey Cured tobacco would generally have less impact in most vendor's more straightforward extracted juices; but this, like Ahlusion, though more so with BBT, has quite the spunky presence.

When I first got the juice, aside from it smelling like GR, it wasn't that remarkable, but it was intriguing and different. After a five day steep, and changing quite a bit, this juice has started making me smile (some may like it more fresh than steeped because its sweeter when fresh.) Along with its bright, but rather subtle current of blackberry and blueberry essence, what makes this juice so intriguing to me is the way the tobacco is extracted, and quite frankly, how it tastes! OEA extracted juices are NOT all that special around here, but extracting it in-house to make a Tobacco Absolute is very special.

For those that have had traditional TA or TE (think Perfumer's Apprentice TA/TE, or vendors like VV, M&P or Moondrop), please do not let this juice frighten you -- it is not TA like that! (Though, those other vendors are great in their own right and better suited for some.) BBT does have its markers as TA (no, not perfume), but I have never had a TA reveal itself and perform like this -- Blue Beard Tobacco is more like watching an early 20th century American Burlesque striptease while common TA eliquid is sometimes like being forced to participate in an S&M show, LOL. Essentially, most TA juices have a tobacco flavor -- if you can call it "flavor?" -- that tastes nondescript, bootlegged or kind of like junk tobacco scraps that have been doused in perfume, and blended with grass and ash. The thing that TA generally does have going for it, when applied with a delicate hand, is the dry, ashy taste that, for better or worse, is very connected to our old habits. This juice, Blue Beard Tobacco, also has a dry, slightly ash-like tobacco taste that's accompanied by an honest, identifiable, and somewhat resolute flavor from the Virginia and Honey Cured tobaccos. The additional ingredients, blackberry and blueberry essence, are by no means the stars of the juice or vying for center-stage. The additional flavorings are just ornamental, but not in any quantity that would make this juice, IMO, a "fruity" juice.

How this juice vapes will be, as with most juices, highly dependent on what you use to vape it. Being that it is truly 100% VG, the TH is not strong, but it is there. The vapor at first was a little lacking, but it has settled into a fairly voluptuous cloud producing juice. The juice itself isn't thick per se, but it is shapely. It is has a quicker flow than Gold from NLV, but its body does not have that oozy, sappy like consistency so often associated with VG. The color of the juice is like a well steeped green tea and it is perfectly clear (though the plastic bottle may make it look a little cloudy -- no worries, its just the bottle.) There is no dark sludge or oily separation like with some common TA juices and I detected no alcohol.

I look forward to seeing what else VCV can do with tobacco in their lab. Oh, the tobacco AND nic are extracted (yup, they extract their own nicotine, too) and tested in a lab by the vendor -- no tobacconist or 3rd party extractor here. Aria at VCV answered my email immediately -- a prerequisite before I can purchase -- and she was forthcoming beyond the point of merely responding with generic, stock "answers" that, all too often, serve as fulfilling some BS courtesy or just to placate overly curious customers. Heads up: if you register for their newsletter before ordering, they will give you $5 off of your first purchase!

p.s. Burley Beard Tobacco is more paired down, and while decent, not all that exciting enough for me to review.
