Been watching these guys for a while and finally placed an order last night:

Vanilla Tobacco
Mewlew's Magic
Blue Beard Tobacco
White Beard Tobacco
Monkey Business

Looking forward to getting these in! Just wish I had known the coupon code! I only had 5% off...

Did you at least register for the newsletter prior to ordering for the $5 off? Well, I didn't! hahaha.

I'm pretty sure I forgot to do that myself... My allergy to mailing lists tends to kick in whenever I see a box that lets me opt out of them.

I see myself all through that post! Good gawd I hate getting all these doggone emails that offer me nothing but another reminder that vendor x exists! I was so surprised to realize that a vendor could actually offer something in return.

I didn't like white beard at first. Have let it steep for a week, and it is much better now. Flavors have melded together. It was primarily custard at first, but now just a very nice subtle blend. I can't pick out one flavor against the other. I did not like burley beard much at all at first, but it maybe growing on me after steeping. At first I thought it to be very tea like, but now it is more tobacco like with a hint of citrus. Maybe not citrus flavor wise, but feel wise, if that makes sense. This is definitely very high quality juice!

Well I tried Monkey Business, and I am calling it pretty darn good. Not Nightshift-level good but still a very moreish chocolaty banana flavor. I can definitely say that these guys know their chocolate. I am probably predisposed to like this because I've been on a banana kick lately, but I have promoted this to a tank with delicious effect.

I received my order today - Mewlew's, Night Shift, Campfire, plus a free (!) Maple Mountain - caps are off, and steeping has begun!

However... which one of these would y'all recommend trying first (pre-steeped)? I cannot stand the fact that they are sitting. right. here. smelling so darn good and I have to wait to even taste them.

You don't need the caps off, but you can do it if you want. The juices will steep fine just siting there for a week or so. You MUST know, there is absolutely NO reason for you not to vape them now. I think the presumed necessity to steep has gone a bit haywire. The only way anyone ever knew that the liquids changed is because they tried them first; that is also how you will know whether or not they do not need to steep. Don't torture yourself unnecessarily. ;)

Oh my gosh you said a mouthful. There are a few juices out there that (for me) need a really long steep, but the vast majority are perfectly fine in a few days to a week, and some don't need any steep at all.

I vape every juice out of the mail to see if it needs to steep for my taste buds! Some juices, I can think of many, actually taste progressively better as age sets in and some taste at their peak during specific times, the only way that is known is checking at different times including on the first day. VCV tasted fine on the first day but the tobacco came alive after the 5th day--I'd imagine some would really like the juice more in the first 5 days as opposed to the converse.

p.s. The bit about "you don't need the caps off" is specific to these juices, not all cases--I did it both ways to see.

Are there any vague rules-of-thumb for this? Like "fruit flavors generally need less steeping" or "for the love of all things holy, don't try most tobaccos without steeping at least XX days"....?

And FWIW, I couldn't help myself and dripped Maple Mountain right away. Fabulous, just plain fabulous. Subtle but very genuine flavors. Especially after tasting another maple this morning that was not so hot.

"vague rules-of-thumb" to me are, the more complex it is, the more steeping it needs. Single and simple flavors rarely need much. That includes NETs that are strongish tobaccos with no added flavorings. NETs with flavoring, whether that be pre or post extraction, often need more steep.

That's just what I've observed that works for me, ymmv.
