Hmmm...maybe that's why I couldn't sleep the night I dripped through AiV's sampler pack @ 18mg!!

Possibly?

I even notice a difference between clearos.. from my experience so far, those that hit harder don't always give the best flavor, and vice versa

Would be nice for both worlds... Not sure I'll ever get there in clearo-land, but want to try nonetheless before moving on to other systems.. That Spheroid looks pretty sweet

I sort of wonder if I would have kept moving past VCV if it weren't for the flavorful clearos I'm using now.. they've got their performance issues for sure, but it's the flavor-delivery that keeps me with them for now (plus the fact that I have so many of them, LOL).. Still searching, and even ordered some other clearos today

I also find vaping style to affect flavor intensity.. I oftentimes take "double-drags," with the 1st one out my nose as I'm taking the 2nd

Why do you need to drop to 3mg to drip?

If I dripped at 18mg, which is what I normally vape, I would be bouncing off the walls! 6mg is normally what I use in my dripping atty or my RBA. Higher than that is too harsh and since the nic delivery is so much more efficient with a dripping atty or an RBA, it still satisfies my nic cravings.

Which clearos are you using?
So far V-Fates have worked best for me with VCV juice when it comes to clearos.

The topper arena is my last frontier (for now).. For clearos, I've only used Protank 1, iClear 16, iClear 16B & iClear 30 so far

By far, the best flavor for VCV's..? iClear 16

Not sure what exactly it is about them, but they just bring out the full flavors somehow at a juice's individual flavorings level.. I know at least part of it is the delrin mouthpiece, since I can taste metal tips too much on others.. but the flavor superiority is also more than just that

They can have their own performance issues at times, of course

I have some glass Aspire BDC Nova's in the mail (both 3.5ml & the mini 2.5), which supposedly deliver excellent flavor oftentimes rivaling stuff that costs 10 times as much.. We shall see... :vapor:

Anyway, Candy Bar update: About a week steeping now, and it has gotten better.. Definitely not my favorite, and at this point still not a re-order.. but the caramel has come out more, as well as a bit more of the chocolate, starting to fill out the whole Snickers taste

I'll also mention that I have yet to vape a steeped-enough VCV, and think "This is gross.. unvapeable!" or even a "Oh, I guess I can tolerate it til I finish the bottle.." My least favorites are simply that -- my least favorites.. juices that I can recognize their quality, but flavors that just aren't for me & perhaps more up somebody else's alley.. I can totally see how some people love Monkey Business, for example

And that's a far cry from some other non-VCV brands/flavors in the past, where they were so unvape-worthy & un-PIFable, that I wouldn't have wished them on my own worst enemy -- & simply dumped them down the drain..

quick question for you VCV vets out there. All of the juices I ordered from VCV get a little "build up" inside the bottle where the juice level is. Looks like sugar or something. What is this? Do your VCV juices have this as well?

I've noticed that a few times before, but never really thought anything of it..

Yeah, currently 2 of mine do (Night Shift & Candy Bar).. aha! It's the chocolate ones! Nope, because my Peach Tea is in the middle of forming the same thing

I want to say it's just some tiny air bubbles floating to the top of bottles that have been sitting there undisturbed for a couple days.. and once they reach the top, the liquid edge of each bubble is exposed to the air at the top & solidifies a bit.. Wish I had a magnifying glass to get a better look

When I shake mine, they disappear

I've seen a photo or two of non-VCV juices doing that in a BIG way, with a lot thicker layer

I wouldn't be concerned...

Anyway, how are you enjoying them? Any favorites or less-than-favorites at this point?

When I first started vaping, I tried all of the devices you mentioned, and they all gave me a metallic, burnt taste. I tried some juice samples in a vape shop this weekend, and unlike most shops, which generally keep samplers in Vivi Novas or similar toppers on eGo batteries, this shop used the iSmoka BCC Mega. These devices did not give me this metallic, burnt flavor, and were a decent vape for a non-RBA device. I think it has to do with the fact that the top and bottom caps are not exposed metal. Considering that the metals used in these cheap devices are base metals with who-knows-what mixed in, the anodizing applied to the iSmoka may be acting as a barrier between juice and metal.

The Ahlusion juices (also high quality juices like VCV) I tried in these devices tasted pretty good.

My tastebuds are in fairly good shape from not having an analog in almost 6 months, and I'm only tasting metal from the ones with a metal mouthpiece. Maybe I just don't know any better at this point since I haven't yet used anything that's higher quality.. but I started out with cartos (not carto tanks) & when I was 1st switching over to the original 16's, I didn't notice any difference in terms of any metal taste. It is possible to get a drier burnt hit occasionally from the original 16's if you're not mindful of the wicking (i.e., not much juice left in one that's been standing vertically for a while). Otherwise the rest are fine in that regard..

I think it's important to disassemble & thoroughly rinse out any topper in its entirety with at least warm/hot water prior to using for the 1st time.. Also to let 'em sit for a while after filling so the wicking becomes saturated.. A few non-firing primer hits might be in order. And when it comes time for a good disassembled cleaning again, I also rinse both before & after a dry-burn, prior to carefully re-assembling & re-filling. I think all this helps minimize any odd tastes..

I've only used the VCV unflavored in the original 16 so far, and I don't taste anything odd from the clearo (or the juice!). Will be trying it out in the other clearos in the near future to see if I can taste anything funky.

I should note that my vape max limits are fairly low, up to about 7.5 watts/4 volts on a 1.5-2.1 dual-coil resistance.. both for a personal taste/performance factor, as well as a potential health one...

Will take a while, but my goal is to eventually replace all my plastic toppers with glass/non-plastic (though will stick with delrin mouthpieces)..

The journey in the topper world can be a long & complex one, which is why I saved it for last, LOL.. Finding a good quality juice that I liked was the most important to me. I'm perfectly content vaping 100% VCV at this time, especially as I pinpoint my favorite flavors.. eventually I might start dabbling elsewhere (my eye has been on Ahlusion for a while), but toppers are my main focus at this point. And as savings from quitting analogs continues to snowball, I'll be more apt to spring for increasingly more expensive, better-quality & -performing toppers (and hopefully as healthy as possible)

I also believe that aside from current battery technology, topper design/quality still has a ways to go, especially at the less-expensive mass-market level.. I think we'll probably see the most improvements in this arena

Okay, enough rambling... :D

Vapin on some VCV White Beard. Its not as sweet (custard & butterscotch) as I was hoping for...

It reminds me a lot of Backwoods Brew Casablanca...

How long has it been steeped?

Yeah, sometimes I have a hard time picking out the individual non-tobacco aspects of WB.. mostly a sweet-ish tobacco, getting some vanilla & butterscotch.. Somebody in a review mentioned a little maple

I haven't had a straight tobacco in a looong time since my early vaping days, always sweetened or mentholated, so it's hard for me to compare.. Betting that if the sweetness *werent* there, we'd notice its absence... I'm curious to doing a side-by-side comparison with Burley someday

Not sure about anybody else, but I have to be in the mood for WB.. when I am, it kicks ....... Yet I always seem to be in the mood for Ice Beard, even though it's only partially steeped right now

It's a combo of air, VG, distilled water & physics interacting.. Shake a partially-used bottle and you'll see a bunch of air bubbles form, suspended thoughout the liquid, slooowly making their way to the top.. Once they can travel upwards no more, they'll just collect & form a rim along the edge where liquid meets air meets bottle

I've seen this before with other high-VG juices...

I'm not worried that it is harmful by-product really, just wondering if it might be sugar or whatever "natural" ingredients they use. When I shake the bottle before dripping it does dissolve back into the solution. All the VCV flavors I have seem to do this but some more than others.

I am really enjoying VCV juice. I've tried several other "100% VG all natural blah blah" juices like Organliq but they charge way too much and I only liked one flavor out of their entire line up I tried at a B&M.

So far my favorites: Mewlew's, Night Shift, Campfire. I'm starting to like this sample of Monkey Business they sent me too. I want to steep all the flavors more to get the full experience... if I can exercise self discipline and not vape it all before then lol

Another question for you guys, I seem to get a bit of dry mouth when I vape the VCV juices vs. my regular 50/50 juices.... is this because of 100% VG? Compared to your other juices, does 100% VG dry out your mouth?

Self-discipline? Yeah, it was about 24 hours between the time I took my first vape as soon as I got my 1st order, til I placed my 2nd order, LOL.. Depending on what you've been vaping before VCV, you might want to place your 2nd order soon before it's all gone.. :D

The steeping is pretty batch-dependent, it seems from the info in this thread.. sometimes it's great right out of the mail or probably a few days tops (for some desserts).. and at the other end of the spectrum, sometimes tobaccos can take up to 2-3 weeks... I believe it might also depend on bottle size, i.e., larger bottles might take a little longer

Good news is, if they're not having a big announced sale (*cough*), they'll probably ship it same-day or next-day.. Maybe try exploring some other flavors, while re-ordering a couple of your favorites in bigger bottles.. might end up liking some new ones even better... If you want, request a particular flavor sample in the Comment section during check-out

As for dry mouth, part of the reason why I went to high-VG was to get away from PG.. because it made me really thirsty, moreso than VG

That said, vaping anything is going to dehydrate you some, regardless

I don't find VCV making me any more thirsty than VG from other brands

At best, something like a fully-steeped Catherine the Grape might make me a little more thirsty than other flavors.. then again, drinkable grape juice can have the same affect...

Maybe you're just vaping more than usual these days for some reason? :D

Just tried two different Velvet Cloud Vapors:
1. Night Shift is pretty tasty. In order to get some of that tastiness on the inhale, I have to fresh drip pretty often. But the exhale and the vapor smells just like the donut with a little bit of coffee smell and sweetness-- not how coffee tastes which is very important to me since coffee smells better than it tastes.
2. Mewlew's Magic: all I got was chocolate. Boyfriend had the same. Tasted like pure cocoa powder-- so kind of a dark chocolate without a lot of sweetness. Was a miss for both of us since I bought it expecting...something different based on reviews. I don't get the cream, butterscotch, or donuts from the description but the chocolates or fudge isn't a bad description. Not too fudge-y though.
