Just tried two different Velvet Cloud Vapors:
1. Night Shift is pretty tasty. In order to get some of that tastiness on the inhale, I have to fresh drip pretty often. But the exhale and the vapor smells just like the donut with a little bit of coffee smell and sweetness-- not how coffee tastes which is very important to me since coffee smells better than it tastes.
2. Mewlew's Magic: all I got was chocolate. Boyfriend had the same. Tasted like pure cocoa powder-- so kind of a dark chocolate without a lot of sweetness. Was a miss for both of us since I bought it expecting...something different based on reviews. I don't get the cream, butterscotch, or donuts from the description but the chocolates or fudge isn't a bad description. Not too fudge-y though.

what's your set up? micro coils with cotton? standard wraps with silica? what RDA? (assuming since you mentioned "fresh dripping")

I'm using dual micro coils clocking in around .45ohm with cotton and Mewlew's definitely has more than a chocolate/fudge taste for me. Best of luck!

Why do you need to drop to 3mg to drip?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

RDA's will significantly amplify the flavor, but also the nicotine effect too. 6-12mg of nicotine was my preferred level when I was using clearomizers, but once I started using rebuildables, I could immediately feel the nicotine overload shortly after about 8-10 draws.

For the 3mg VCV juices, with exception of Sour Skittles, all the fruity flavors vape fantastic for RDA's, very smooth, rich flavors and no coil gunking.

While dripping the Night Shift, maybe throw a little Mewlew's in there every so often?

My Monkey Business was the same way -- fudge/chocolate overload. Now I sort of wish I had some left, to add a bit to Candy Bar, to off-set the peanuts more

Nutty Cookie is similar to Night Shift, where the chocolate doesn't dominate

Thanks for the Mewlew info.. I think I was right to stay away for my tastebuds.. sounds like it's more for extreme chocolate lovers

Man they really are generous with their sales… that's super nice. I got my 2nd order in yesterday. Here's the run down I guess.

Chocolate Pudding - got this one cause I wanted a desert vape. FOOB it's kind of powdery. I hope it smooths out a little with some steep time. Reminds me a lot of AIV black and white cookie.

Vanilla custard - meh. Tastes funky right now. Have to let this one sit.

Catherine the Grape - tastes floral and soapy right now. I'll wait it out and see.

Fruit Cup - little light on the flavor but from what I can taste it's yummy.

Candy Bar - haven't touched this one yet.

My fav is still strawb gawb. I'll let these sit a week and try again.

HI everyone! Long time viewer, first time poseter ! :)

I recently received an order of 30ml of : vanilla custard, white beard, night shift ... this is my first attempt with VCV and I dripped a few drops of each into a bridgeless atomizer, and I actually enjoyed the subtle taste of all of them !

tonight, I decided to try white beard in my tanks .. I use the aspire ET-S tanks at either 1.8 or 2.1ohms .. and I broke open a brand new Mini Protank 2 and I just grabbed one of the coils which turned out to be 2.6ohm ..

I filled both tanks ups .. and OMG I got this weird burnt/metallic type taste out of both of them !! I let them sit a while thinking maybe the wick didn't get a chance to absorb, but no dice ! The same thing keeps happening ... even at different watts on my Itaste vv 3.0 its still rough, both tanks actually made me cough pretty good too ..

SOMEONE please tell me they've experienced something like this and how to please please please help me fix it!

I want to enjoy this juices in tanks throughout the day, not just on my dripper at home ! lol

any help would be greatly appreciated ! :)

You may want to see if there are flavor wicks and try removing them?

Perhaps. Either way definitely sounds like an equipment issue and not a VCV issue. Never had a bad taste with their liquid, at all, ever. Did you wash and let your new tank dry?

forgive my ignorance, brother .. I'm still a rookie in this game lol .. if the 'flavor wicks' are the visible wick at the bottom of the coil I do see them, but how do I remove them ? and how much of them ?

ya I washed the tank before I use it like I usually do ... . I'm sure it's NOT a VCV issue cuz when I drip the juice it's all good, it's just the taste of it in the tanks that's throwing me off and I would love to carry these juices around with me when I'm out and about not just be able to use them at home when I drip lol ..

Take off that little silicone grommet thing. Remove the pin sticking straight up. This will expose the coil and any extra wick they may have laid on top.

Not sure. It's not listed on their FAQ of things they don't use but if your worried about it your best bet would be to email them and ask.

I'm kind of leaning towards no (though, still ask them.) Having tested and read a lot on Virgin Vapors which does use alcohol, that's a taste that you see brought up by reviewers a lot who suggest airing out the bottle to let the alcohol evaporate. I've read a few dozen reviews of various VCV and haven't read anything about there being an alcohol taste and having to steep with the cap off.

Thats why I was asking :) I wanted to know how I should steep when I get them.
