Hey guys, this is going to be my first vendor review
I’ll be reviewing a few liquids I picked up from Velvet Vapors a little while ago. Each flavor was tested with a Smoktech Dual Coil carto on a Riva 510 as well as my roommate’s pass-through since my Sidesho pt is down for the count. The carto was thoroughly cleaned and dried before each refill. Hopefully my review will help anyone thinking about buying from this great vendor!
(all liquids are 18mg, Pg/Vg mix “Velvet Blend”)
First off, Cappuccino
Flavor: Near perfect, I couldn’t stop raving about this flavor to everyone who’d listen. It’s a very dark, full bodied espresso taste minus the bitterness one would normally expect from espresso. I wouldn’t call this a liquid you could vape all day due to the strength of the flavor, but I did very much enjoy it.
Vapor: Average, not the most vapor of the bunch, but still plenty
Throat hit: Good, not too harsh, but definitely still noticeable.
Overall I’d say this is an amazing liquid, due in most part to the wonderful espresso flavor.
Next, Butterscotch:
Flavor: Mild but enjoyable, has a thick caramel flavor, works as advertised.
Vapor: Good, about middle of the road compared to the other samples.
Throat hit: Good, more towards the light side when compared to the rest but definitely not anything to complain about.
Cola:
Flavor: Tastes like Coke! The flavor isn’t very strong, but what you do get is very good. Flavor is on the mark as far as cola goes
Vapor: A little more than cappuccino, but not the best of the bunch
Throat hit: Decent; again, enough to know it’s there but not to the point where it’s overbearing.
Fuego:
Flavor: Atomic Fireball anyone? This liquid is very very very cinnamon. I like it quite a bit, but it’s definitely a bit too much cinnamon for me to be an all day vape. If you’re looking for a super strong cinnamon flavor, this is it.
Vapor: Average, but not to any fault of the liquid. There was just a bit too much cinnamon for me to really get a good pull off of it.
Throat hit: Very rough, due in most part to the cinnamon. The throat hit and the cinnamon make for a very intense (and sometimes painful!) vape.
Hypnotic Mist:
Flavor: Strange, I can’t make up my mind whether I like it or not. It’s slightly sweet but at the same time it’s not. I’d definitely recommend trying a sample before buying a large bottle if you haven’t tried it before.
Vapor: Plenty
Throat hit: Good, on par with the caramel.
Watermelon Menthol:
Flavor: …Different; this was the flavor I was most excited to try, but unfortunately I’m not a van of VV’s version. There’s really nothing wrong with it, but I personally would prefer more menthol to watermelon. It also doesn’t seem to be a true watermelon flavor, more like a candy watermelon. Still, different strokes for different folks, It’s not a bad liquid, just not to my taste.
Vapor: Plenty! Every watermelon menthol mix I’ve tried has put out great vapor, and this one is no different. This has the best vapor of the bunch.
Throat hit: More so than most, but again, not too much.
VV was also kind enough to throw in a 6ml sample of Dulce de Leche. Tastes very much of milk and caramel, more so milk. I do like the flavor, and the throat hit and vapor are definitely great. I don’t think it’s a flavor I could use all day.
Overall Velvet Vapors blew away my expectations. Great customer service, fast shipping (2 days), and wonderful liquids. I definitely plan on ordering from these guys again and again. I’d give it four stars out of 5
