I have no equipment whatsoever so I got my sheet metal worker friend to drill these two 2mm holes in my mod. He doesn't vape and they seem to cover a too much of the battery. Looks too low to me. Any opinion would be appreciated. Thanks

Any holes are better than none at all.

Ideal placement would be at the point where the top of the battery is located while in the mod. Batteries vent from the top, and this is where the gas will accumulate. Batteries can swell when they vent, and this may block the gas from leaving the mod if the vent holes are located any lower. See below what I believe is the ideal placement for vent holes in a tube mod.

It's the top of a silver dragon clone. Looks better further down. Ok so i'll use this for a bit, order another and go again. Thank you. Would the swelling of a battery mean that these holes could be blocked as well?
By "swelling" my intent was to say the battery might increase its girth or diameter. You know how plastic changes its form when it gets hot; recall that the insulation wrap that surround batteries is plastic. Some people have reported that the metal "can" of the battery also can swell.
