Veritas RDA Authentic VS CloneThanks

Hello all,

Got my first rda in the mail today, a Veritas. The website said it's authentic ($120) and from what i can tell it might be, the only thing that concerns me is that the new authentic ones have an ihybrid symbol on the back I believe and this one does not. It is also brushed finish and I believe the real ones are polished. Does anyone have a definite authentic one or know the differences of what to look for? I found a thread but the comparisons are about six months old and I'm not sure if anything changed since then. Thanks!

The older authentics do not have the Ihybrid symbol. The easiest way to tell is the engravings and cap fit. The far right with the deep pronounced engravings is authentic the other 2 are clones. The cap fit with both o rings in place is also super snug. So snug I only use the top o ring and its still got a good snap into place (can then turn the cap to adjust airflow but the cap is still very secure) The authentic air hole on the cap also has a chamfer. I have 2 tobecos and 2 EHpro clones. The EHPro have the chamfer and peak isolator but the engravings are shallow and cap is loose. The Tobeco is not chamfered, loose cap and non peak isolator.

Thanks a lot for the info. Mine is a brushed finish with a shallow logo and no symbol by the airhole. It seems I've been duped. They also showed one in stock but after I purchased they are still in stock. Shame on me.

Nope, it was an online store. They seem sketchy about returns on their site but I contacted them to see what we can do.

Good deal....you can also contact the maker of the Veritas and send him some pics. Isn't Faceless the Veritas guy? I don't quite remember, but I'm sure he'd be pretty helpful in weeding out rip off artists.

It appears that their site and everything with them has fallen off the map. Most links on the site are dead and there doesn't seem to be much feedback or contact help. From what most people are saying responses are few and far between. Probably makes this sort of thing easy to get away with.
