Ok, haven't heard too much about this product but I am very interested in it. I am looking for a new VV device with a few bells and whistles without spending toooooo much. I find the form factor of the Versa very attractive and it's functions convenient. But I don't want to feel like I'm buying a finicky device that needs tinkering... let's just say I've bought one too many extra parts. I need a VV. Shall I get the Versa? And the white and black finish are both so succulent!! I am having a hard time deciding.. although I am leaning towards white.

Hi Kyi! I actually was sent a Versa(A606 or VTorch) to test out! It is a very beautiful device as it takes an 18500 or 18490! I do highly recommend using the AW 18490 IMR High Drains on the Versa and that's actually with ANY VV APV! :) However to get the BEST performance out of the Versa, I would recommend using 2.5 to 3.0 ohm cartos or clearos(Standard Resistance). I will guarantee you will love this device, as I got it for my wife for her first Mod and she absolutely loves it, especially using it with the Boge 801 3.0 ohm Fusions! You will need to get the 510 to 801 adapter to use this Carto. I hope this helps. Take care and Happy vaping! :)

Here's a pic. of mine using the Boge 801 3.0 ohm Fusion with the 510 to 801 STEALTH adapter and Phiniac Tank: :)

Thanks! The device looks lovely! The black one has some kind of speckly shiny finish right? Are the batteries included in the kit not very good or something? What is a stealth adapter? I currently have some mini novas and io6 and Betterlife attys. I have been interested in picking up another tank though... not trying to spend over $20 for one. Maybe the one from the Mom and Pop shop?

The "stealth" adapter just changes the connection from the Versa's 510 to an 801 connection but it's smaller than a traditional 510-801 adapter tube.

The batteries he's using are better than the unbranded batteries with the kit. I was recommended to RTDvapor for some goods deals on these.

Freddie...have you tried an RBA on this sucker? I also heard this thing measures resistance/ohms?

I have the exact set up that you are looking at getting. I actually started a thread here in the vv section (my new steam machine) check it out I put some pics up of the VERSA with a mom and pop mini sub tank. I love the set up and Tim is great to deal with on everything. I also got a kanger T3 with a ego adapter it doesn't look as nice as the tank but it works pretty good. Just hit the buy button, you won't be disappointed.

Is there any difference besides the "name" between the Versa from Vaporbeast and the A606 from Dark City Vapors? I notice that the LCD is on opposite sides for the 2 vendors. Also, the one from DCV states that it uses pulse width modulation but does not say so on the VB site. I assume they are the same thing but you can never be too sure. Does yours fire for a second when checking volt/amp?

I got mine yesterday!! :D

versawhite.jpg

It has a good solid feel to it without being too heavy. Love how it looks and the rotating button design is pretty neat. And the blue lights that emit from the button is pretty cool too. I did order some new batteries though the ones that came with it seem to work just fine. My only gripe is the slight cosmetic blemish around the edge of the button, seems like some of the coating is messed up, and that it fires for a sec when checking volt/amp. But I can get over those two things.

It fires when checking? That broke it for me... but those things are still awesome. I'm glad your happy with it.

Had my VERSA for going on 3 weeks, I must say it has become my go to mod. Yes it does have PWM and on the scope it looks pretty good. I don't understand what the big deal is with it firing for a second when it checks the battery level/amps. They way I look at it to give you an accurate reading that is what it and many other systems have to do. The stock battery's have been good so far getting a good 5ml's of juice over a 10 - 13 hr day. The thing you have to remember is you are not buying a $150.00 mod. What you are getting is a hell of a good $70.00 + or - mod. I have had way more people comment on the VERSA than my chrome YJ

Yeah it doesn't really bother me when it fires for a sec to check the volt/amps. But I am a little confused. Is the voltage reading suppose to relate to how much battery is left? I don't really get how to read that. Also, I ordered some Efest 1100mah 18500 batteries, its a tight fit and adds a good amount of extra weight (the original batteries are labeled as 1400mah and are a LOT lighter). I'm not sure how these batteries are better but... I guess more safe?

Versa Variable Volt From Vapor Beast - YouTube
Final Couclussion of the Versa from Vapor beast - YouTube Here it is in action they have them at dark city Vapors also.
They all fire when they check the Ohms how do you think it reads it? All VV mods are PWM this one just uses a cheep chip set and the frequency is such you cant use a Voltage meter to read it. You will be happy with it for the price you cant go wrong. I use AW batteries they have the best life IMO http://www.rtdvapor.com/main.sc not just battery life in your mod but cycle life also.

I agree with buzzzlove in the fact, that they have to fire to check the ohms and the amps being drawn. Yes the voltage you are seeing along with the amps is the voltage left in the battery. The efest battery has also been recomended to me for the VERSA. You will have to let me know how they last and then I can make a decision on efest or AW. Lastly not all VV mods are PWM in fact there are some fixed voltage devices that use PWM to make the battery last longer also. With the understanding that PWM turns the mod on and off hundreds of times in a given amount of time you can then begin to understand why they make your battery last longer and it also helps your mod or more specifically the board in your mod operate at a lower temp. And we all know the cooler electronics run the better and longer they will operate. May mod builders incorporate PWM into there design but it is not mandatory. All you really need is a switch that can handle the load and a potentiometer to adjust your voltage.
