This may have been answered already, but is anyone else having wicking issues with the thick single thread version of the wicks that came with many of the 2.8 ohm heads? I have major issues with dry hits on those heads, but no problems on the 1.8 and 2.4 ohm heads with the 4 slender wicks.

Yeah I have the same problem. I used the short wick version for weeks with zero dry hits. Bought a couple v2.5 novas yesterday to use with some long-awaited juice that came in and started getting the dry hits. Actually the 2.4ohm head was giving me some problems as well around 4.2v, but not nearly as bad as the 2.8ohm head which gives horribly burnt hits at anything over 4 unless I tip it up while hitting it. The 2.4 head works wonderfully on my kgo battery though, and I don't get severe dry hits with the 2.8 head but it tastes like crap. This juice is 65/35 but I was using 100% VG with the short wick heads and could easily crank it up to 5V on the 2.8ohm head. So for me the long wicks aren't wicking fast enough at higher voltages.

Congrats Wally!!!

Happy Birthday LD!

The post seemed straight enough when the vapor was in the tank on the vivi. So far it's only happened on the 2.8 head and it was at 4.3v I think. Someone else mentioned they had the same thing happen on the same voltage on another thread. I haven't checked the chart to see if perhaps that was the reason.

I prefer the short wicks also... but still I like it that they are carrying these as long wick only... it just makes sense since it is so easy to trim down if you prefer a short one. In short, they can carry one item instead of two and still cover the needs of both the short and long wick users.

I forget who recommended cutting the VN wicks till they are just slightly longer thank the width of the tube, but Im very happy now with mine. I tried a phoenix BC and TC, but I keep coming back to my VN. It's taste is comparable to the BC, but is much, much easier to use. I liked the warmth of the TC but it goes through juice almost twice as fast as the VN or the BC. Plus, even though I put the fluxo ring in and turned the cup seal it still seems to flood the TC. By the way I'm using the 2.4 head and have been using it for the past 3 weeks or so with 3 cleanings.

Thanks for checking Deb! It happens to me with all three heads and they are screwed in tight (I checked when I emptied the tank and took it apart) and I am vaping on a riva SE battery (3.7v). So I don't know what is going on with mine. When they come back in stock, I will pick up one more to try again because I really love them when this isn't happening. Maybe I just got a bad one. I don't know...

Happy birthday Lord Davon!!!

I went back and tried a 1.8 ohm short wick and was able vape it at 4.5v with no burnt hits. I had already cut the 2.4 ohm head - a little longer than the short wicks are and seemed to be working OK. Then I rinsed off the 2.8 ohm head, unraveled the single thread, frayed the wick a bit, then dry burned it. Now I'm getting tons of vapor and go up to 5v before it starts tasting burnt. Just have to tip it now and then but no dry hits. With the long wick the dry hits would start around 4.2v.

FYI, Grimmgreen has posted a review of the ViVi Nova on youtube earlier today.

Yup, I was just about to post about that. GrimmGreen has had his kicked Silver Bullet short out and melt his hot spring/battery *twice* while using a Vivi Nova on it. Googling around, this has happened at bare minimum of 2 other times that I could find. However, in ALL cases, it happened on a Silver Bullet. I don't want to cause a panic or anything, just a PSA, to not use this product on a Silver Bullet.

The only thing I can really think of that would cause a short on the Silver Bullet is that it is something to do with how the bullet 510 connection is threaded, and it's shorting out there (we all know the Vivi Nova 510 post has had issues, and is overall quite odd). If it was something in the device itself, we should have more reports of this occurring, but we do not.

I stopped using mine on my bullet a while back. Used it on the bullet for 3-5 days tops. Glad I stopped

Last update they said 24-48hrs. hopefully, just waiting for them to clear customs.

I've got a shipment coming from one of the manufacturers, and it spent days dancing around Shenzhen, then decided to spend a few days hanging out in Hong Kong. Now, it shows that it's left Hong Kong, and it hasn't been seen since. Certainly, this isn't anywhere near the size of an order from a vendor, since it is only a couple of parts, but I am starting to really understand the pain that GotVapes goes through, while hoping that their packages arrive.

The worst part is that there is a thing called "Clearance Delay" that it keeps getting put into. Every time it does, I wonder if it will ever come out. Chris and Dan have more patience than I do, since I feel like punching the screen every time I see it just sit in a since status for days.
