Started to read through all the pages but dont have time right now.

Is there a fix for these nova tanks? All three of my heads must be burning the isolator gasket, the flavors muted because we are inhaling burnt rubber.

I am going to try and use a piece of teflon tape, to see if it helps. I haven't really had the issue, even on the recoils, but who knows.

Is there any prognosis on when the Phoenix XL 3ml Cartomizers for the one with the eGo Cover will be available?

I must say that it was disheartening to see that there is a new coverless item, but still no replacements for a unit that was introduced a while back. It's like we're now step children, and pushing more new products is the priority.

Read a lot of thread, but I always have problem reading big threads all the way through. Could wicks collect flavor possibly? Maybe it wicks PG ok but flavor particles collect on the wick? The Stardust seems to have the best flavor out of any of the CE2s, and it had the smallest volume wick.
Trimming the wick helped a bit. Maybe make it smaller in diameter or have less wicks? Would a different wicking material work? Just throwing out ideas. It'll make more sense when mine arrives. Ordered a couple of metal tube covers from gotvapes too.

pretty sure the consensus is the bare legs of the coil are heating up before the actual coil itself and burning the rubber isolation grommet, this slight burnt rubber taste mutes and throws off the taste, theres nothing else I can see it being. they wick fine and put out hella vapor.

If youve used the vision stones before youll know even with long wicks they put out a good flavor and lots of vapor, the stone had a leakage problem though.

These new novas will be great once the new heads come out.... hopefully they will be smart and use some no resistance wire for the coil legs.
Im just going to recoil mine with the means above

Thank you for the summary. Hope they do change those coil legs in version 2, does seem like a big flaw if they have resistance. I believe I've seen version 2 for sale in China. We should have it soon.

Still wonder though if wicks hold a bit of the flavor behind, thus a system designed that delivers juice with less wick might have some improved flavor. If you look at pictures of the new version 2 heating element it does have shorter as well as a lot less volume to the wick, at least from my observation. I guess I could just taste my wick after I vaped on it for a while and see if the flavor is stronger in it and keep you all from having to hear a newbs hypothesis.

Just got a couple of the colored (Black and Silver) Viva Nova tanks and Im a bit curious if any thought was given as to the inside lining of these as it appears the color paint is also in the inner part of the tank, just wanna make sure this isn't going to have any effect on the taste of the juice and or cause leeching..

I would hope/assume the metal tanks are anodized, inside and out.

Hope so too, Appears some people think they are covers, but its the whole tank part..I soaked mine in hot soapy water..There is also color in the threads but my caps seem to screw in fine..

Well this may very well work excellent time will tell but i have a good feeling about this " revised coil head" and the "revised airflow" to it.
I do not understand French but what i see with my eyes in that video.

Revised Bottom Cap - no airflow holes in bottom "Knurled thread cap" but back in the 510 connector portion.
Revised Coil Head - similar to Phoenix Xl Coil Head.

The revised coil head looks like a Phoenix coil head with slightly longer wicks than the "phoenix XL".

There at the 3:19 mark you can now see the airhole in the threaded 510 connector portion with pause of video and not any airholes in the knurled bottom cap.

I think because of the design change in the airflow cause of the revised change back to airhole in connector portion and a design change to a coil similar to the "Phoneix Coil Head" this will have an positive influence on the flavor .
Lets hope as i will try and get one when there back in stock and if they work properly this will be one fantastic tank in my opinion.

Thanks go out to Gotvapes for getting this revised coil head lets hope it works properly but as i mentioned i have a good feeling after seeing what has been revised with the nova .
Hope im right. ; )
