i have two V1 got my V2 yesterday i love the top of the new head the bottom of the head is no different in my opinion within minutes i got the burnt taste pulled head apart and yes the plug at bottom had burnt mark on the V2 i got there is a added silicone sleeve in the mouth peice not sure why they opened top of head more which would improve flavor then reduced it right back with this sleeve in drip tip so i reworked the head just as i had already been doing with my V1's recoiled added non restance wire to ends of coil cotton wick and diffrent tip now tons of vapor good flavor i love the V2 and still like V1 just thought i would share my journey with the vivi's

Just be patient everyone, enjoy what your all getting and have fun playing with it, just know, we have been part of the vivi nova from day 1, if we dont have them yet, its always for a reason. There is no rushing this, and since the cat will be out of the bag soon, lets just say v2.5 is on its way.

And next week im going to drop the biggest bomb yet.

Rebuilt another V2 head tonight with 32 awg nichrome (2.4 ohms). I did not use the fiberglass insulator as I wanted to see if this piece made any difference.
What I have determined is ... the fiberglass insulator is not required and does not make any difference at all.
Here's where I'm still a little confused on when it comes to rewiring anything - I watched a vid recently (think it was igetcha) and the coil he put together involved resistant and non-resistant wire - the non-resistant carried current but didn't heat up and the resistant wire used for the coil did respond to the current by heating up (obviously) - why hasn't anyone discussed this 'cause it seems like the longer wires, in the fluxos for instance, are insulated and non resistant and all the discussions here seem to describe creating a coil with just one resistant wire which it seems would result in the coil and the pos and neg legs all heating up equally - if anyone understands what I just said, please respond.
Just read cnbenzoe's post about non resistance wire and would like to know more about how this is done....possibly a video?

That isn't a problem IF those "legs" aren't long; or in other words, if terminals arent far from the coil. In v1 Vivi, it was a issue (several people pointed it), and the rubber insulation was burning. Haven't bought v2 myself yet. I did rebuild v1 with non resistance wire.

I think there may have been something many pages back. Or I saw it some were. But take a look at this: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...0-vivi-nova-rebuild-tutorial.html#post6059429

In addition to not heating the rubber parts, I like the fact that you can have more coils at the top, for the same resistance.

I feel a bit idiotic-ish, but I can't quite figure out what is being done with the wires there after he twists the nr wire back onto the original twist...

The picture is a little hard to see. Basically you are twisting the (2) NR wires to each end of your (1) resist wire. Like a twist tie on bread. Then you coil the entire resist part of the wire on the wick, so only the (2) NR wires are hanging down. Then finish as normal.

I see two advantages with this.
1. No heat down around the seal.
2. More heating coils at the wick for the same ohm rating.

This is were I got my NR wire.

Just stash away a few extra bucks in a Mason jar, for when cool stuff comes out in the middle of the month.

Well, I am glad that V2.5 is on the way because after using V2 for two days I am still dealing with the muted flavor issue in V1. What a bummer. Initially I thought that the muted flavor issue was a thing of the past but as you all know the bugs in any system are not initially detected. Except for that problem all other problems in V1 are fixed in V2. I assume that V2.5 fixes the major problem with V1 which is muted flavor.

Now, I feel like a ... since I made such a big deal about V2 here on the GV forum yesterday. Pics, comments, etc, etc. I should have known better.

Anyways, let us keep our fingers crossed about V2.5

BTW, I did a mod of the Vivi Nova today using parts of V1 and V2 and it significantly improves the flavor. Believe it or not, my mod uses the ceramic cup from a fluxo.
One other thing I have noticed ... the performance of the Vivi is much better if the tank only contains no more than 1.4 ml liquid.

Hey Lark same here.

With a v2 as well . I like the airflow in the threaded 510 connector but thats it as im getting same muted flavor with all heads.
Its not my e-liquid either @ 70pg/30vg as i use same e-liquid in the phoenix and the vision stone 3 and both have the flavor i come to expect <excellent> but the v2 is flat in flavor department.

I did notice the 1.8 and the 2.4 heads have same amount of coil wraps and the wire thickness appears the same, the 2.8 head had 8 or 9 wraps but flavor still is flat no matter what volts i use on my vv box mod , tried it also on my megalodon and an ego and flavor is the same just flat.
