this isnt my first rodeo. i know how this works by now. if i was to base everything on what people say about a certain product, i would buy them all and toss 90% of them. what works for you might not work for me depending on more than one factor.

I ordered some of them.
If you see me raging in a couple of days here, that means i wasted another $50.
Still, i'm calm and looking forward to getting my package. I do have high hopes for this design, we'll see what happens.

Thats me. I want to pull the trigger on these Bad (Pun intended) But I am unsure as the first run was not ready for prime time even after rebuilding. Awl heck. Just do it right?

This is a link to a recording of my live show, where I did a comparison of the rev 1 and rev 2. Video by TVN: Live Recording - 06/03/2012 23:08

Now, the rev 2 was so much better, I can't wait for the 2.5!

I'm thinking this one holds more promise because the wick is thicker at the coil. My version 1 had 3 wicks that were wrapped where as this one has 4. I looked at my version 2 and this "v2.5" looks thicker also. I guess you wouldn't want it so thick as to choke the juice coming in but you would want it as thick as possible up to the point right before the choke off point, so you get the most vapor which would increase flavor.

I'm trying to understand what goes behind making a good vs bad wick & coil. Some people mention the coil heating good across the wick and not in other places were part of a design flaw in version 1. Doubling over the wire in the non-coiled area from my understanding decreases resistance in that part and allows the heat to be concentrated on the coil area alone. Opening up the wick slot with a thick unchoked wick with a coil where all the heat is going to the wick should produce a good working head it would seem.

If "v2.5" doesn't work good I got to recoil and rewick these things. I'm a newb at all this and this thing does look incredibly easy to redo, even to me. I still take every ones rewicking results with a grain of salt though because I know many (including myself) have said good things about something to only later decide it was not up to par. I would think that this over-scoring issue would be even greater if someone spent their own time making their own creation. I noticed a person that made a demonstration of rebuilding the version 1 later stated he isn't using it, so rebuilding still requires some thought into the design of the rebuild.

So now my plan is try v2.5 with crossed fingers.... and if it doesn't work to my liking...
rewick & recoil with...
slightly opened up wick slot with thicker wick...
doubled over wire at the non-coiled area....

I'm a newb and realize I could be just totally off on something I said. If I'm off on something I said... let me have it... I would rather learn than spend the time rebuilding to only later think my fluxomizers still beat my rebuild. I might rebuild even if I like "v2.5" just for fun.

I'm excited....got two new VNs on the way....waiting for that notification email...lol. My original VN is still going strong on the original head. I just "donated" it today to my son-in-law, who is just getting started with vaping. He's doing great, and I want to keep him encouraged....

We shall we what we shall see. I don't imagine there will be a problem with wicking as such - none of the versions wicked bad anyway, that was not the problem. Flavor was. Sans all the other malfunctions, V1 was a bit anemic, V2 is better (totally different wick configuration), but not *quite* there, V2.5 looks sort of like a better version of V1 rather than V2, but you can't go just by looks. I'm all excited to see what happens. I know it's not going to be "bad", it's just a matter of whether it's going to be ok, good, or excellent, I think...

Plus, remember, guys, this isn't going to be any different in rebuilding than other versions, from looking at it, so it's not like you are wasting your money either way - even if the worst happens and you don't like the flavor, you still have a kick-.... rebuildable coil tank. :)

But i think it's going to be great, myself. :)
