Hi there everyone, i am still quite new to vaping, only 12 days since i've been vaping. I bought a LT and it came with a vivi nova. In just 2 days the 2.4 and 2.8 ohm were ruined( no idea how that happened, i did wash them a few times to try different flavors). and i'm now using the 1.8 ohm head. I went and bought nichrome 32 wire and the silica/fiberglass wicks as well.

I tried rebuilding my vivi Nova and notice that there is a strange metallic taste that does not go away. When i vape for more than 3 secs i get a harsh metallic throat hit and no flavor. When i was smoking with the original head that came with my VN initially the taste was great but even than has lessen a lot now. That was what made me go and get my own rebuilding stuffs.

Can someone tell me why I'm getting this metallic taste? I have checked the coils, head and nothing is touching the sides on the atty. Is there something wrong with the nichrome wire that i'm using? I have washed my VN many times now. I also have dry burn it and yes i have also use a lighter to torch the nichrome wires before recoiling. Vapor is great but taste has lessen and 2-3 secs of continuous vaping the metallic taste worsens .

At one point of time... I was vaping it for about 4-5 secs and that was a horrible one, terrible metallic taste and throat hit. And my juice is only 12mg and it does not have that kind of a throat hit. I've checked the ohms of those that i recoiled and they were btw 1.9-2.8( i tried many times). So if someone could tell me what's going on i'll really appreciate it. I don't have any other atty to try this out with so i'm stuck with my VN for now. I have ordered another set of VN and i guess i'll take a week to reach me.

P.s: I'm looking into the genesis clearomizer/atomizer... Any comments about it or would it be recommended? it looks more easy to recoil and does produce more vapor and give better taste. At-least that is the information i have gathered after going to pages and pages here in ECF,.

Thanks alot and really appreciate all help given .
