Hi all
I am very confused about something. I bought 2 vision spinner 2s from 2 different companies, a stainless and a gold. I received the stainless first. Then I saw a company giving 17% so I ordered the gold. I'm not going to name the company in case I am wrong and don't want to damage their reputation. So I opened the gold one and immediately thought it was fake. Even thought the box looked genuine and had an authentic code. So last night I sent them an email listing all the reasons I thought it was fake and accused them of putting fake spinners in genuine boxes. I told them they could pay my shipping back to them and send me a genuine spinner or I could call my credit card company tell them they sold me a fake and get my money back. So I had an appointment today and took it with me..upon using it I thought maybe it is real..so I come home get ready to send them an apology. But I see a reply from them. Now I was expecting an email saying we don't sell fake spinners and if you don't want it to send it back and we will refund your money. Instead I got an email saying, great Liz here is your order number and tracking number. I am so confused did they really knowingly send me a fake spinner 2 in a genuine box? And if not why are they sending me another one? Why are they not defending themselves? What am I supposed to think?

eGo-type devices (including Spinners) are made by a lot of different companies now. It has come to be a style of battery. Some work better than others and sometimes a clone can end up working just as well. An authentic Spinner is made by Vision and will have a logo on it somewhere.

There are so many knock off ego batteries...

That's the thing there ARE so many fakes out there. I don't know that I have a real spinner just because it worked ok yesterday. Looks and feel of it tells me it's a fake but because I thought the battery worked like a genuine spinner. But this morning I noticed that the battery life isn't as long as I thought it was yesterday, today it lasted about 2 1/2 hours on 3.8v and went from white to blue within 20 mins. I was vaping very light yesterday due to my appointment, that's why I thought thought the battery lasted as long as it did. First thing I noticed when I took it out of the package was the weight and it didn't have the same texture on the handle. Also the lettering on the stainless is raised and very pronounced and I can feel it when I rub my fingers over them while the gold one has flat letters that you can't even feel, like they were stenciled on with spray paint. My son will only go to B&M because he thinks he will always gets genuine and pays more then if he got it somewhere else, like online. So his girlfriend bought a spinner 2 at that same B&M around the corner from us and it had a scratch code on it..she was using it for a couple weeks when it started not working right and told me what it was doing so I told them maybe it's fake. They went back to the store and told them it wasn't working right and asked if it could be a fake, the guy at the store got ...... and insisted they don't sell fakes and refused to take it back and referred them to corporate ..so they left. A couple days later they looked on Google and went back to the store and showed them all the reasons why it was a fake and proved it to them, then they gave her money back. I have read that some companies have fakes and don't even know it. If I figure out that it is genuine, although I don't think it is, I will send it back to them with an apology. I'm not above saying I made a mistake and won't keep something I didn't pay for but I also won't put up with counterfeit merchandise being sold to me as genuine, and pay $25 for a $5 clone but it's not even about the money it's the principle. I buy genuine because that's what I want I don't want a clone. They may have good customer service but they could have said it wasn't a fake in the email if it's genuine. The fact that all they said was they were sending me a new one makes me wonder. I don't want to deal with shady companies. If something says clone fine then I know, and it's my choice to buy it or not. There are so many fake spinners out there, some are very bad fakes and some look and work just like the real ones for a little while and a lot of people have fakes and don't even know it because they don't know what to look for or don't know that there are clones or because they trust the company they got it from.
