I’ve had shinyitis since day 1!!!

If you really want to try a pen style device I'm not against it. I just didnt want to send you off on a spending spree when what you have works.

The pen-style devices is what I quit smoking on and used for the first year and a half I vaped. They worked for me and were inexpensive. I don't think for they are bad at all as they are low consumption and you can buy whatever ejuice you want.

So I will give you a couple recommendations.

Berserker came out with a pen kit that is variable wattage between 6-10 watts, and the coils that go in it are 1.5 or 1.8 ohm.

Vandy Vape Berserker MTL Kit

^^^ EightVape has them on clearance for 14.99 and they still have several color choices - so you might want to buy one and if you like the way it vapes, then turn around and buy two or three more for backups.

Another inexpensive choice right now is this by Uwell (another very good brand)

UWELL WHIRL 20 / 22 Starter Kit | Vape Pen Kits

^^^ The Uwell Whirl 22 seems the better choice here, its variable voltage between 3 and 3.8 volts, meaning it has a wider variable power range than the Berserker does... (the UWell goes to 25 watts whereas the Berserker only to 10) So honestly this Whirl 22 is probably a better choice, albeit the pricier one. It has replacement coils that are .6ohm or 1.8 ohm, whichever you may prefer.

This is the type of device that got both my friend and my SIL off cigarettes and they are still using them to this day.

If you find one of these devices works for you make sure to buy three. You need a battery to vape on while you have a battery charging, and a backup battery for any unforeseen difficulties.

You can (and will need to) use higher nicotine in these devices but how much is up to your individual needs. I used to vape 18mg freebase in those types of devices but that was before the advent of nicotine salts.. you'll likely get a much more satisfying vape with your 25 or 35mg salts.

If you want a pen style mod, the ephro 101 is rather nice. Adjusting my wattage is kind of key for me, I'm not the biggest fan of pods but really, I'm not the one to give recommendations on them, honestly. The T series from Innoken gets some love, but again fixed wattage.

I really like the Innoken Kroma setup and it gets great reviews. I have the tank (zenith) not the mod, but the whole kit certainly seems to be pretty solid. I'm just saying you can mix and match, etc.

Welcome to ECF and congrats on switching to vaping!

Since you are liking the tube mods the 2 Heart mentioned, Ehpro 101 pro or Uwell nunchaku, have happy users and would pair well with the Zenith tank. The Zenith has a good draw and coils. The tubes are both adjustable and proven reliability.

The smok novo is pretty solid for a pod system. I would imagine if I didn't work construction mine wouldn't have bit the dust as quickly as it did.

I would reccomend cleaning the contacts and silicone stopper thing under the pod regularly as it builds up condensation. After a while the condensation builds up and can sometimes cause it to not cut off firing when it should.

In terms of upgrading, the lost vape orion is considerably more well built than the novo and not much larger, it also has a somewhat similar draw. Being a pod sytem the coils cannot be rebuilt, but the pods do last a decent amount of time. I would compair the orions pod life to the novo with the orion pods outlasting the novo pods by a day or two.

As far as something that can be rebuilt an istick pico with a doggystyle rta is a great combo and relatively cheap. If you aren't a fan of the pico there are quite a few 22mm+ stick style vapes out there for about the same price.

Backups for backups for Backups seem to be the general consensus around here! That's one of those things a newbie doesn't think of, so it's helpful!
