Welcome and congrats!
When you notice a lack of flavor then it's probably time to top them off, once you get the burnt flavor, it's normally too late!
I understand wanting something you are used to to get started, I was the same way. I couldn't understand why someone would want to carry around something the size of these mods. Then I got tired of carrying around four or five of the small batts to get through the day, so I upgraded. But not everyone does.
Try it for a while, don't force it, if you need a cig, have one! This isn't about how many you smoke, it's about how many you don't smoke! If you slip, don't beat yourself up, it's OK!
Read a lot, there's tons of information on here, come back here and ask questions, we are eager and willing to help! Good luck!

Just my thoughts on the subject... you may be happier and more apt to continue down this path if you get a " true " ecig... something like an eGo C or eGo T - they are very simple to use and offer a lot of flexibility with cartos, attys, tips, tanks, flavors... again it is just my opinion but congrats on taking the leap !!!

Ok Thrasher which is the better battery that you have tried and like the best? I'm currently using the v2.

I'm not thrasher but this is a question that is hard to answer without info.

If you want something similar to the v2 but cheaper and takes the same threading. Smokeless Image batteries work great, I have two 78mm's I keep around for when I need something small. They have a nicer coating on the outside too.

I think an ego twist (or clone) is probably the best starter battery if you don't need something cigarette sized. It won't take v2 carts but there is an endless amount of ego/510 threaded things to put on it. The twists come in a bunch of sizes (650-1100ish mah) and you can buy a regular ego (non Joyetech) in 400 mah for a great stealth vape.

Overall, in the entirety of vaping it becomes more a device question than a battery question. It also becomes a more of what you want and how much you want to spend question.

I started on the V2 and I find they still have their place in my "arsenal." They got me down to just a few cigarettes a day and made me start really researching PVs, so I'm really grateful for that. They're a KR808 battery and the warranty is very good. You can check out the subforum here on KR808 sized devices, and this video shows you how to clean them out for other juices You'll be able to tell when they're dry because the taste will change.

One word of caution, however... the V2s started the drain on my wallet that lead to five eGos, a Bolt, a Vamo and two Provaris! :)

Welcome to ECF! I was quite intimidated at first, and still am to tell the truth, but I'm learning as I go! Everyone here has been very helpful. I wish you lots of luck in quitting! BTW, if you don't like the pre-filled cartridges, stick with it and try samplers of juice from different vendors until you find something you like. Also, play around with the nicotine strength as well. I tend to need higher mg's of nicotine in the morning than I do at night. If I vape the higher mg's at night, I have trouble going to sleep. Also, drink lots of water as it dehydrates you:p

ive already become very interested in this all just since my purchase this morning! ive been watching a lot of videos on how to do things and reviews on different products, etc. i think this is something im really going to enjoy! my upstairs neighbor who is a good friend of mine smokes flavored tabacco in a hookah to relax sometimes. shes away but coming home in a couple weeks, and im going to have to let her try and see what she thinks as well. also i def. will be buying the juices from other places. there are a lot of interesting and yummy looking flavors out there. i want to try them all! lol.
