Hey all, I used to be an avid member of this forum, but haven't been keeping up recently. I've been happily vaping away first on my screw-adjust buzz with 510 cartos, and then on my ego-c. I switched to the ego-c because I wanted more simplicity. I've been quite happy, tank seemed to provide more flavor and vapor. However I'm now finding that my atomizers start tasting bad rather quickly, much more quickly than cartos.
So I'm looking to change up my system again. What's new in the world of cartos with 510 threading? I'm thinking of biting the bullet and getting one of the newer mods. Suggestions besides the provari? Are the majority of us preferring tank or carto systems these days for the most flavor and vapor?

My two devices are

ego 650 with evod at 1.8ohm
evic/vamo with Protank at 2.5ohm

Love em both, an ego 650, charger, and evod can be had for about 30 bucks, and is pretty beast for a little device. Vamos can be found for 30-40, charger and batts maybe another 20-30, protank 20. Evics about 70-80 if you look hard enough and can be charged via usb cable so only need to pick up additional batteries

Not sure on the mod part, but people will chime in with their opinions. If I were to buy one today it would probably be a Vamo.

There currently is a divide on what delivery system is the best. Some say one has better flavor and vapor, others say something else. To me, carto tanks are plenty good, but I prefer clearomizers. I actually get better flavor and vapor out of them than any carto I've tried, and by them I mean Kanger T3, EVOD, Vivi Nova. The downside is juice flooding and dry hits, things that are much easier to manage with a carto tank in my experience. Clearos are much easier to clean and you can rebuild the atomizer heads, which are things that are very important to me.

I recommend picking up a decent carto tank and a Vivi Nova, maybe also a Kanger EVOD. My favorite carto at the moment is the Boge F16, which is a 1.6 ohm single coil with 2 laser drilled holes and they are fairly cheap.

The hottest APV (mod) on the market is the variable watt (VW) Vamo. Definite advantages to VW over VV. Plus the Vamo comes with a robust 5 amp switch unlike the weaker 2.5 amp switch of your eGo, thus you can use any carto/atty/tank on the market with a Vamo, unlike the eGo. The Vamo runs about $40. Here's a review and one site that sells them:
