Just want to say thank you to you all. It was not until my brother's national guard unit got called up the first time, that I really understood what my freedom meant. The national anthem has never sounded the same since....and it still makes tears come to my eyes when I hear it.

This is something that goes beyond the current politics....although I wish the politicians had to put up with the kind of medical care our troops put up with......regardless of what you think about the politics of the current conflicts that we are involved in, it is these men and women who have stood up and that they will put their lives on the line for us.......for that, they should be forever honored.

Anne......Proud Sister of a Kansas National Guard Serviceman.

My daughter landed at Bangor Maine yesterday on her way home from yet another deployment. Guess they really stepped up their troop greeting program for Veterans day.
So a big thank you to those that do that.
