Hello, all. Been a lurker here since august. Tried various e-liquid vendors. Have couple that I use regularly. Have noticed that have trouble with tightened chest and wheezing with high VG juice. Use 18-24 ml (flavored). Anyone with asthma have any trouble with VG? Had to use rescue inhaler for week after 10 years w/o one. Still smoke about 8 'logues/day(especially when I first wake up).

TIA

Have you tried some juices that are lower VG ratio's?

Are these ratios what you consider high VG? 70VG/30PG and 80VG/20PG.

There are so many intangible's out there that can contribute to asthma. Air conditions, indoor air quality, pets, etc., etc., etc. Sounds like you have had asthma issues previously?

Also, you don't mention what area of the US you reside in. Big temp changeover from Fall to Winter in many areas. Heating systems in homes tend to dry the air out. Maybe try a humidifier if you are in these areas.

Last of all, none of us (Or very few) here are MD's.. By all means, see your physician, if you are having severe breathing issues of any kind!

I had exactly the same problem with any VG liquid more than 30%, much like breathing on a very humid day. I stick to 80/20 pg/vg and never get that feeling. It makes some sense as VG is cut with 10 -15% water to get the viscosity right for wicking. For me it was especially bad at night. Good luck!

My wife has asthma and has found that high VG blends don't work well with her either. she prefers no more than 30% vg, 20% is better. Your mileage may vary, that is just what works for her.

larger amounts of VG just provide too much vapor and she doesn't handle it well...
