VG Base... What's In It?

I know VG is vegetable glycerin, buy when you buy the base at a juice company, what exactly is in it? I plain glycerin at home, and it is extremely thick. Is is the same stuff, just diluted?

it is thinned out to keep the atty from clogging up either with alcohol or distilled water

If you have plain glycerine add 20% distilled water to it and thats good for a VG base.

How many parts regular glycerin to how many parts distilled water do you use to have a working base?

2 Parts Distilled to 8 Parts glycerine so if making a 10Ml batch of base it would be 8 Ml Glycerine and 2 Ml Distilled
