i was wondering the same thing, I have been using juices with considerably more vg in them, my atties dont seem to work as well either, and they always taste burnt, it sucks. i just bought a bunch of samples, and they all taste like crap. but, i posted this question in another section not too long ago, and the general consensus was that vg doesnt hurt the atties at all, in fact some say it makes their atties last longer. I will have to check back and see what the experts say...

I've been adding about 20% VG to my PG juices so as to get a more voluminous vape and have been using the same 2 atomizers for over a month now with no problems. I can only suggest that you clean your atomizers because that's been working for me.

Basically, every night, I take my atomizers and let them soak in a little isopropyl alcohol (cheap, cheap, cheap) for about 15 minutes, then I rinse them in hot water for a minute or so, then I let them soak in hot water for about 15 minutes. Then I dry them off with a paper towel.

If I'm not in a hurry, I let the atomizers air dry overnight. If I'm in a hurry, I do a series of SHORT dry burns to get the water to evaporate. Then I load in a cart and vape away. The atomizers always perform just like new.

Yeah it just seems like I've been going through attys faster since I've switched.Oh and to be honest I have never had any luck at all cleaning attys.I soak it in Alcohol or anything for that matter and let it dry and damn no more vapor dead atty, every single time.I might blow it out now and then but that is it period.I use a 901 though may be different with other types.

Wow, I never go through atty's that fast and I vape pure VG juices pretty much exclusively. Some VG juices are thicker than others and I suppose they *could* be more likely to clog an atomizer but I haven't had that experience really. An atty wil last me at least 2-3 weeks before I need to consider cleaning it usually.

One thing I HAVE noticed is that juices with a lot of coloring tend to grime and clog up my atties faster no matter what type of base they are. Especially the darker brown colored juices.

I've been at this a little over a month and have not had an atty go bad yet. For the most part my juice is homemade 70% VG. I do cut my VG 20% with distilled water. Once a week I will boil a small pot of distilled water, set aside and drop all my attys in that I used that week, 801, 901 and 510's, let them soak for 20 minutes or so swishing them around with a wood clothespin, sometimes I'll add a little CPH to the water. Blow the water out and put in front of a small spaceheater for 20 min. or so reprime and they all work like new so far.
