VG is thicker, slightly sweet and makes tons of vapor. It can also make the juice smoother, but it can mute the taste.
PG is thinner and harsher than VG. It carries flavor better, but doesn't produce as much vapor.
Most people use these in a combination depending on what they want. More VG = more vapor. PG = more flavor and throat hit.
I use either 60PG/40VG or 50/50 mixes.

personally, I love VG. mainly for the vapor...the "looks" of it. I will agree with 'womanofheart' that it does..mute/calm the flavor some, but as I mix my own, I just add a couple more drops.
Just one more thing, PG irritates some people. I feel it so I use somewhere between 50-100% VG. If you find the juice you're trying scratches your throat, makes you cough, increase the VG % or switch over completely.
