or a step above an eGo but a step below an APV

I ran across these the other day which to me seems like a logical step past the eGo type batteries and one step below APV's

It appears this setup comes with everything, the eVic easy head, tube and 2600mAh battery and is capable of USB passthru (no external battery or having to remove the battery to charge) [I have a Totally Wicked Tornado RCS that uses a 16650 battery but only has 2100mAh but I can use it for a full day no problem)

Nice thing is...if the battery stops taking a charge...just unscrew the end cap and put in another recommended battery..don't have to throw the whole shooting match out! No more trashing the eGo if/when it kicks the bucket

And later on...if you want APV, just buy the eVic head and swap out the easy head for the easy head!

Oh and another thing.how many rigs that a MATCHING HEAD, as in the whole shooting match is designed to be the same from top to bottom!

I think this is more versatile than a standard regulated eGo-C (not a vari-volt which would be nice) but it eliminates the problem of "my ego battery died and won't charge no more and I have to go buy a whole new one)

Just spitballing here so give it to me straight and tell me what you think

Already have a Vamo V3...this would be like the first rig I ever got once I got past the gas station cig alikes...the one I got orginally was the Totally Wicked Tornado RCS, same thing as above just thinner because it used a 16650 battery vs the "they are everywhere" 18650 batts.

I will say this...going to loan my Tornado RCS to a co-worker...tried the cigalikes and fell off the wagon, so gonna hook her up with my RCS, tried it out last night vs my Vamo...Vape was ok but much much cooler than 6.5 watts from the Vamo had a 2.4Ω head on it [I went high ohm coils because my USB bypass rig that I use more than all my other ones because of a long commute and I work at a computer, so I buy highish ohm coils for the bypass] (would have liked a 1.8Ω but don't have any low ohm coils anymore I guess I could try to build one for the vivi nova mini spares I got from FT)

If you already have a vamo, then I'm not sure what advantage this would be. If it is for someone just starting out, then I think it's decent. For people who have a vv/vw device, this would seem like a step down to me.....but that's only my two cents.

I also have a vamo, and an eVic, yeah this would be like a step down. Not bad to have as a back up or knock around. I agree it would be a very good device for some just starting out.

Not at all
none...either regulated to a fixed 3.6vdc [or 3.3vdc] or wide open battery voltage (same as a eGo-C [non twist])

Looks like they have em on alibaba so maybe FT will have em soon

for all intended purposes it's an "eGo" battery that isn't sealed shut and non-serviceable, it becomes a "replaceable battery" rig with the ability to USB passthru/charge

Specs on eVic easy head
http://www.myfreedomsmokes.com/evic-variable-voltage-mod/joyetech-evic-easy-control-head/
The new Joyetech eVic Easy Control Head allows users the ability to gain big mod battery power for a reasonable price.

This product is the head only, no tube or battery is included with this product.

The eVic Easy Head works with either the eVic Battery Tube or the eGo-T Mod Battery Tube which allows the user to insert an 18650 battery and enjoys days of vaping between charges. Simple an easy to use, the easy head has a full eGo thread with a large drip well to accomodate almost any atomizer/cartomizer/clearomizer that has a 510 or eGo fitting.

Best of all, just likely it's big brother the eVic VV Mod Control Head, the eVic Easy Head incorporates a micro USB port that allows you to charge the battery without having to remove it from the device. A compatible eVic Charging Cable can be found here: eVic Charging Cable

Lastly, the eVic Easy Head isn't just a constant voltage device. It also features the 5-click on/off safety feature and can be switched back and forth between constant 3.3 volt regulated output mode and unregulated output mode.

To change modes, turn the battery off by quickly pressing the button 5 times. Then press the button until the LED changes colors (White=regulated, Orange=unregulated). Turn the battery back on by pressing the button quickly 5 times. If the button lights up blue when pressed, this means that the battery is low on power and needs to be charged soon.
Yeah...its a fixed voltage..a little low..but it ensures the vape is consistant all the way thru...from full charge to shutoff because battery is depleted...with that low a volts a "low ohm" 1.8Ω to 2.2Ω is the best range, anything over that and the vape is too cool.

Ah, then this is a cheaper viable alternative, adjusts from 3.7v to 4.2v and takes a 14500 battery. I would have got one if FT stocked a nice colour.

https://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10005380/1429601-kamry-x7-mod-e-cigarette-battery-compartment

Click the little arrow next to the "buy" button to show all the options
After further review the K7 is VV...they just list it as high, med, low power NICE!!!

IF they had a VV rig like the eVic easy head (options of the eGo-V or eGo-5 3 button click to change volts blue light 4.2V / purple light 3.8V / red light 3.6V) with the USB passthru/charge ability...THAT would be a PERFECT beginners rig! [A true eGo killer type setup]

Honestly if my Totally Wicked Tornado RCS did that...I probably wouldn't have even bothered to upgrade to the Vamo V3...

However...the ability to swap out batteries and charge as needed since it doesn't have USB passthru is at least a step above the sealed eGo platform

For that price...I would learn how to paint my mod quick like...might be directing my co-worker to something like this shortly...THANKS!

Honestly, I'd get a Sigelei Zmax V3. I thought it was so versatile. VV and VW, telescoping, 3 diff size batts, small and has both ego and 510 threading.
Sure sure...USB passthru?

Even my Vamo V3 doesn't do that...there are only a handful that do that out of the box...but are usually NOT VV/VW and NOT very very bulky in size, only other one I know of that is well rounded like that is the iTaste VV/VW V3.0

I'm saying something comparable to a eGo VV but has the ability to replace batteries and has the USB passthru deal

I'm not looking for me..I'm looking for her a rig to run as a "loaner" and I am just brainstorming and spitballing

If I had the money...EVERYONE I met would be getting a MVP 2.0!!!

Looking for the quintessential step above an eGo but a step below an APV

Are you sure? Best I could tell (and from one of the review on FT) it just started at 4.2 volts with a full charge and the voltage dropped until it reached 3.7 then you had to recharge it...basically just like a mech.
