All reviews are done with the following process.

1) I will use a clean, fresh atomizer. Blown out, rinsed, drained, blown out again and then "cooked off" to make sure NO LIQUID is left on the internal wick
2) I will use a newly stuffed cart. Brand new blank for all intents and purposes - Cart topped off with the liquid being reviewed. No re-used carts.
3) There will be 2 drops of liquid placed on the metal wick of the atomizer
4) I will always use a freshly charged battery.
5) If the liquid is a stated flavor (Coffee, Strawberry, Vanilla, Pineapple, Cola etc...) and does not match the flavor it is advertised to be an automatic 2 point deduction will be made to the "flavor" score. If it says "Cherry", I want to taste cherry.
6) Boldness is a non numerical score and will describe the amount of flavor in a product. This will go toward the overall score. If a product is too weak or too strong it will detract from the overall score. If it's just right, it will add to the score.
7) NEW GUIDELINE : All reviews will be done in 2 parts, combined in to one video. The first part will contain initial impressions with no scores. After this I will take an hour or so to vape the product on multiple sets of gear and get a good, rounded, overall feel for the product via carts, dripping, mods, etc...I will then record the numerical scores and combine the videos.

Review categories:

Flavor : 1 - 10 (1= Horrible. Akin to tossing Jabba the Hutt's salad...10= Heavenly. This stuff tastes AMAZING. )
Boldness : Flavorless, Weak, Fairly weak, Mild to Medium, Medium, Medium to strong, Strong, Very Strong, Overbearing
Vapor Production : 1-10 (1= No vapor at all...10=Marlboro 100 at below 0...CLOUDS of vapor.)
Throat hit : 1-10 (1= No sensation at all...Just like breathing only more frustrating...10= Equal to or better than a real cigarette)
Overall : 1-10 (Includes all of the above plus personal impressions relating to the liquid.)

Scoring :

1-2 : Unbearable. DO NOT BUY THIS STUFF.
3-4 : Poor. Useable but not recommended. There's something that's not right and it kills the entire experience.
5-6 : Average. There's nothing that sets this liquid aside. It's not great but it's not bad. Good enough to vape on a regular basis.
7-8 : Good - You can feel confident buying this juice. It does what it's supposed to do and it does it very well.
9-10 : Amazing! - THIS is the stuff that will kill tobacco smoking. Simply put, an amazing puff that's well worth the money.

Thanks for the review. One question for you, have you ever thought of comparing the flavor of the tested with reviews of the other flavors that you have tried? When I watch the review, I always wonder how these compare with other brands. For instance, e-smokeytreats vs cash menthol vs. truevapor vs. totallywicked...

I have thought of doing that, yes. The issue I have is that flavor is very subjective. A number of subtleties exist that make a direct comparison like that not only inaccurate but also unfair.

Let's say, for example, the e-smokeytreats marlboro is just as good as the TW marlboro (it is...maybe even a bit better IMO) but for different reasons. It would be unfair for me to compare them in a "head to head" fashion. The same would apply with cars. If I review an Audi and a BMW and give them both scores of 9 in comfort that may be because the Audi has better lumbar support while the BMW's steering wheel is in a slightly better place. They both get 9's but they get them for different reasons...This is the case with many of the flavors. I very often detect a number of subtleties in the flavors I review...maybe it has a bit of a minty flavor that's barely perceivable but makes the flavor really good. Maybe there's a mild, lingering after-taste or maybe the flavor is just a bit too heavy on the tongue but overall it's amazing. Maybe 2 flavors, side by side, are almost identical except for very, very slight differences...I've had that happen on more than one occasion...

This is why I try to explain the flavors I am tasting. If the flavor is straight up, I'll just say "yeah, this is 'fortune cookie' flavored...nothing to see here, tastes like a fortune cookie". If there's anything remarkable about it though, like an organic flavor or a subtle flavor on the finish, I make sure that I note that in my mind and discuss it. I want people to know what they're getting but I want them to know it on a case-by-case basis and I think the review system I came up with is perfect for doing just that.

Yeah, that makes sense. I would say though that once people get used to you style and tastes, it would make it easier to understand exactly what you are conveying. Kind of like a movie reviewer. If you find yourself agreeing with them often enough, you just start to "trust" their opinion as very close to what you would think. Or in your example, if I knew that we had the same preferences in cars, I would intuitively get your review/comparison all the more. Though I suppose that this would be the same even without comparing side by side. I'll continue to enjoy the vids and since I do like menthol, I'll have to give e-smokeytreats a visit. Especially, since he's in my neck of the woods.
