Yes Good Idea Moonflame. Busch Gardens is more widely known. This could actually be huge. The hotels around there are small I am sure it would sell out. There is a nearby campground as well.

I suppose Saturday July 10th would be a good time to all go together. I am a re re about booking a hotel or organizing such an event. I did look at a website that would give us a room and tables just like they did at vapefest, and even a temporary web page to use for group events, but spikey and queeninc organized all of that. A Busch Gardens Ticket AND a hotel room would be a good chunk of change. I suppose locals could just meet in the parking lot since we would not need a hotel. Assuming everyone has mods pcc's or car chargers. If anything, this can be a fun e-cig awareness get together, rather than a sales event. But if somebody has the time and know how to organize a hotel event.. I say go for it.
Well I guess I'm fashionably late arriving in this thread. I decided to broaden my horizons and explore beyond the new users forum. I'm in Norfolk - lifelong resident.
Sounds like a good plan. I've informed hubby that we're going and he didn't say no, so unless his union goes on strike this weekend we should be able to be there. Anyone from that area know of a motel with decent rates? We're about 4 hours away so most likely will spend the night somewhere. I could call relatives in the Va Beach area, but that means having to deal with relatives

Nice area. I used to spend some time in Clark Brothers firearms just to the south on US17 and a bit further south The Flying Circus Aerodrome. My mom worked in DC during WWII and loved getting away to Winchester on occasional weekends.

It seems a group hotel hotel rate is a bust at this point in time. But the meet up was originally intended just for locals to go to the park and spread the word so for any and all willing to meet at BG on July 10th,.. I will be there ready to tear up the roller coasters and help with e-cig awareness and I am looking forward to hanging out with you willing to show up. July 10th is still a stretch away, so if anyone does happen to come from out of state, we still can get adjacent suites at the same hotel for those staying overnight. I still encourage Virginians to post to this thread so we can see who may be available for future meet ups, gatherings and other venues. I may try to plan a get together at the beach this summer as well!

ha. I just spotted this thread. I'm near Smith Mountain Lake, too, Moonflame. The Westlake area.
And, fwiw, I vaped in line at King's Dominion a month or so ago. Especially when the Volcano was held indefinitely after we had waited for 45 minutes and were within sight. Chain vaped. In all the lines, a few stares, no threatening comments.

glad i started this thread. good to see so many of us out there...i know i spread the word every where i go. actually, as of right now...most of my family and friends have stopped or are stopping analogs and have ordered PV's...its great!
Well, I'm not going to be able to make the BG trip. Hubby had the artery that leads away from his heart split open on Friday and we were at UVA hospital until yesterday. The full story is in the E-cig Success Stories section of the forum. They're expecting him to go back to work in 8 weeks which is the week after July 10th, but he's on half pay til then so even if the docs said he could go we will be broke . I can't complain about anything tho, because at least he survived. The worst long term effect is that as a Hokie I'll never be able to say horrible things about UVA anymore without feeling guilty. Everyone at the hospital was wonderful and the docs were fantastic.

We're right near the Dam, pretty much middle of nowhere. Glad to know there's another local around here
