Im curious how to tell when the Vision eGo CE4+ Clearomizer gets too hot to vape. i know atomizers get hot, and i dont want to accidentally burn my wonderful new product!

another question, it wont leak if i have it bent at an angle that it could come out of the mouthpiece, correct? such as, if i had it in my pocket and it happened to slide down?

Hello, I'm new to the ce4+ also. I have had it for about a week and been vaping the hell out of it. I have had no problem with it overheating . I think as long as it has juice in there you have little chance of popping the coil. The juice keeps it cool.

Mine has never leaked a drop as long as it is screwed on the battery, no matter how it's oriented. Sometimes when it is off the battery and laying flat it will lose a drop , but I think it is coming from juice thats puddled in the metal end.

I have yet to try cleaning it because it still works as good as new. I've seen the instructional video for the ce4 (short wick) and one step is to dry the wick with a q-tip before attempting to do a dry burn. I wonder if the long wicks on the ce4+ make this more difficult? I guess I'll find out.

This little thing is awesome, get you some juice in there and get to vaping dammit :)

hello oakieg, try this secret trick :)
dip (only) the wick and resistance in two inches of coca cola, leave it there for a few minutes...then rinse well with warm water and dry the wicks....if the resistance wasn't too encrusted you shouldn't need even to dry burn and your ce4 will last longer :D

Don't think I would try that, too much sugar in coke.;)

That sounds like a good idea. Coke will eat through anything. If you leave it in there too long, it'll probably eat right through the coil. I'm going to try that.

If it gets too hot, it'll be because it's dry and you'll know it real quick. Rule of thumb: If it doesn't choke you and make you gag, it's not too hot.

yes, ten minutes are enough...the dry burning practice is so stressful for the coils and i believe it has more cons than pros...for example with atoms (and those are expensive and hard to find here, i mean my beloved 306 ciscos) i usually drop a couple drops of lemon juice and burn (but i don't vape it lol), i do this every other day (when i remember) and i assure you it doubles the attys lives.

The beauty of the Vision eGo is that it does not leak. (even upside down)
Remember that the tip slides in and then screws down to seal it.
Juices with high acid content may crack the polycarbonate tank, and that may cause it to leak.
They may start to leak after a month or so of use. (who cares, it worked for a month)
They do get warm sometimes with use. If they do, give it a rest.

The draw sometimes tightens up on them and you have to loosen the mouthpiece to allow some air into the tank.

Relax, Enjoy!
