using xtreduded material like the vision extreme line for the stardust is very difficult, as oyu can see china has opened there hearts to using the newer plastic, its in dct tanks, its in all fluxos, its in all vision extremes and also products like the sapphire and the phoenix(oops)

but to extrude it in the shape and then to have it sit properly without leaks has been difficult for them, they tried and had issues, if it was that easy they would of done so at the start, the same applied to the vision stone once you cut out the threading it weakened the tube drastically. Now they are informed and know what people want and are looking into solutions, and as you can see they are more then willing to improve, we got new ohms, we got new colors, we got improvements with the new metal prong.. so in time more improvements will be made when they can.

I know many people have commented on the material used for the tank in the Stardust. I really like the way the tanks are now I think they're really sexy! The only thing I'd like to see change is to have the milliliter gauge removed. Looking forward to all the new colors.

The gauge comes off with nail polish remover.

Yeah, the shape and Features of a Product dictates the most Efficient Manufacturing process.

Extruding works Great for shapes that have a Constant Cross Section along the Extrusion Axis. Unfortunately, the Stardust doesn’t have a Constant Cross Section, they have a Taper in them. And then is that Issue with the Threads as you mentioned.

Blow Form Molding solves the Issue with Taper. But it introduces a Huge Consideration and that is the Lead Time and Cost of Tooling/Die Sets. And the Inability to Make Dimensional Cost Effectively.

Injection Molding has Very Good Dimensional Control. But Once again, there is the Tooling Lead Time and Cost Considerations.

Then there are the Treads. If the Threads were on the Outside, Many things would be Easier Tube wise.

My only suggestion would be some sort of indicator for LR vs SR. I have both and the only way I can tell the difference is that the gauge markings on my LR are lighter than my SR. If those wear off, I'll have no idea lol

Maybe Two Different Colors might work for you?
