Just filled up my T2 with some new juice and put it on a freshly charged 1300mah Vision Spinner. I think the battery may be stuck on its highest voltage setting. I'm using the standard resistance coil in the tank which I believe is around 1.6-1.8. Turned down on the lowest setting it tastes burnt and the vape is really hot. Tried another tank with the same result. Turned the voltage all the way up to 4.8 and no difference. Tried my other battery which is on the charger at the moment and all seems well. Anyone ever experienced this or even know if this is possible?

It's certainly possible, although not common. The dial turns a potentiometer inside, and may have become disengaged, or the potentiometer may have shorted. Or some other failure of the electronics (the voltage regulating chip). Does the dial look further out than normal? Has it suffered any physical abuse? (Heck, we ALL drop them now and then! :) )

Conversely, it may be the toppers. Do you have any means to actually test the resistance of them? 1.6 Ω seems a bit low to me, but I don't use the T2.

I don't have any way to test the tanks. All is good on my other battery. I had my girlfriend keep it in her purse for me yesterday and she beats stuff up pretty good. I haven't dropped it recently or anything. The dial seems tight and in tact. Nothing appears to be physically wrong with it

Well. It's toast now. I put an Aspire BDC on it last night thinking maybe I could just use it with dual coil tanks and maybe tolerate the warmer vape and all was well for about 30 minutes. It went totally dead and when put on the charger the light on the charger is green. Oh well wish it would have lasted longer than 4 months. Now I can get a Spinner 2. Gotta have backups. Thanks for all you guys' input.

On another note. Took a dump out of my kayak yesterday while paddling The Yellow River east of Atlanta. I was in the water for about 10 minutes before getting myself and my 10 year old daughter back in the boat. Had my Vision Spinner with a new T3S around my neck and guess what. The damn thing is still working.
