Well, I had an unfortunate accident last night. My Evod battery magically fell in the toilet :glare:. Pretty much killed it on contact with water. Luckily I had my spare EVOD battery so I wasn't completely toast, but still!!!! Such a sad loss. Lesson Learned: Put toilet lid down when cleaning tanks and battery connectors in the bathroom.

So today off to my local B&M. I just don't like waiting for something in the mail when I just had such a traumatic loss! And I did indeed get a spare 650 EVOD battery. Then on a whim, I got an Vision Spinner 1300 and WOW!!!!! After fiddling with the voltage and using the charts you all showed me with Ohm to voltage charts I found a sweet spot. It was like.. the vapor clouds bloomed and flavors exploded!

What was I thinking that I was going to be just happy with none variable batteries? Downside... takes a while to charge! and it's a bit larger than I would like when traveling around. Maybe looking for a smaller 900 version will bring the size down a bit for easier transport. Not sure how much smaller a 900 is since the store I went to only has 1300 versions. I think now my EVOD batteries are going to become backups now and I'm wanting to get my hands on a second variable voltage battery as soon as possible. 8-o This vaping journey is sucking me in!

I'm in trouble

I love my vision spinner. I am not sure which one mine is, I'm thinking it is also the 1300, I don't mind having a bigger one though. They offered me choices at the store, but I got the bigger one because she told me it'd last longer without dying, so charging usually isn't an issue, I've noticed that mine can last at least 2 days in a row without charging, but I try to remember to charge it every night and it works great.

Welcome to the variable voltage world. I started with an ego twist and then ended up getting a innokin itaste vv/vw v3. I have been pretty pleased with the world of vv/vw, in fact after trying vw (variable wattage) I have not used the vv function on my mod. Its amazing how much of a difference a small change in voltage or wattage can make. I find that this feature is even more important now that I am getting into more complex flavors. As far as collecting more vv mods, I would suggest checking out the itaste vv/vw v3 since you are looking for something around 900 mah. The vv v3 is 800 mah and it can last me 2 days and it will also help with issues about charging since it charges via micro usb allowing you to vape while charging, not to mention almost all of us have a micro usb charger.

Being able to adjust the power to your vaping head is commonly the second "big" discovery for many vapers. The first is discovering that they can get away from burning analogs and enjoy the benefits of doing so. If you follow the common evolution, you may find yourself eventually looking for a larger mod that will allow you to more precisely control the power going to your collection of various vaping heads (that is another part of the evolution) and the regulated VV/VW devices allow you that sort of precise control and tend to do the "calculating of resistance/voltage/wattage" for you. Many preserve and auto-calculate those settings as you attach different resistance devices to the mod.

Welcome to the slippery slope. But it's a fun slope. Like sledding. Always worth another climb to the top of the hill.

hahah, you sound exactly like me. I started with those evods couple weeks ago, and they BOTH broke after I screwed them in too tight or someting. bought a vision spinner while I was waiting and instantly regret buying the evod starter. so much better. now I'm on a quest to get my vapor "heated" a bit more, it's comes out cold. I think i'm looking for a dual coil carto, but I really don't know yet. heh. happy vaping.

I don't normally favor lanyards, but bathrooms are one place where need outweighs style.

By the way, if you ever try to clean the heads in the kitchen sink, it's not bad practice to cover the drain with the strainer.

Good thinking with the strainer! Knowing me and my mishap in the bathroom I would move the kitchen and loose a coil down the disposal. I'm not positive a lanyard would have saved the magic jumping EVOD battery last night, it was such a hard working soldier. But I definitely might think about getting one for other mishaps when out and about.

Thank you! I will definitely take a look into the Itaste V3. I really like the Vision Spinner so far! Can't believe how much the flavors just pop! It's so awesome. But yes for traveling, I would like something a bit smaller. I think what kept me from getting one of these is all the buttons and not really understanding vv/vw. I'm sure I will learn! I have been since I started this vaping journey.

Whew! I'm glad I'm normal! probably will follow the same path, although I think I want a shortcut! Perhaps my best question would be: What is a good next battery I should get that is smaller and easier to carry around? :D I see how I am quickly getting sucked in, but it is indeed sooo much better than spending my money of smoking. At this rate its going to be hard to justify the cost of vaping vs smoking other than health reasons. <<--- and that I say is worth every penny, doing less damage to myself than I was when smoking.

I'm sorry for your loss :( , I also have started with an EVOD starter kit and so far they've worked really good and I like them quite a bit. So I figured I wanted an upgrade so last week I ordered a vision spinner 1300mah and a pro tank 2, I kept hearing great things about them, cant wait til monday!!

I think you will really like it! I have to say my Protank mini 2 Vapes awesomely on the Spinner! The EVOD's don't do too bad either :D

I enjoyed my spinner too! I had two and lent one to a friend. Unfortunately, he broke it so I ended up replacing it with the I taste vv v3. Which is now my primary battery. I love it. Variable voltage/wattage definitely makes a world of a difference.

I think you are convincing me to give the Itaste vv v3 a try! I am growing curious just what kind of difference using Variable wattage will differ than a variable voltage.

I like that itaste, I believe it is 800 mah so it would need to be recharged more often. If you check out ohms law, watt and volts will both get you the same place, for most vapors they are 2 parts of an 3 part equation. Volts, Watts, and Ohms(resistance).

What VW gives you that VV doesn't is the ability to change between toppers of different resistance and still maintain a similar vape. I have VV only devices, and VV/VW devices, both will get me to my sweet spot, however I do use VW on the devices that have it. All VW devices read the resistance of the topper, they then adjust the voltage to maintain the watts setting you have.

Ohhh. Well that would be good actually. I have several coil heads that are different ohms that either came with different tanks and I can't tell which are which. I'm pretty convinced now to get a battery with a variable wattage. I think 800 mah will be just fine for me since I have been using 650 mah EVOD batteries as my travel companions and they held up well for me.

You'll like VW, in situations like you described it is nice to be able to check the resistance, and to know that the device will adjust the voltage to maintain the watts. That itaste is one good looking device in my opinion, I may get one when the Spinner finally dies.
