I have cleaned this thing three times now. I have used cold water, hot water and boiling water. The taste is done. I am sure the coil is shot... well, maybe the wick because the coil still lights up big time. There is no burned looking wick though so I am puzzled. Well, this is why I bought it though, so I could replace the heads when they go out. Kinda sucks though because this has the best flavor so far. I will miss it until I get my new mini nova that I already ordered instead of heads (Doh!!). Luckily I have the Vision V2 and my Artemas D.C, they seem to be just fine. Just wish I knew why it taste so crappy now.

I am doing a lot of trial and error but I am getting there... finding the juices I like, tanks, clearo's, batteries... etc. I am more than likely going to go with 2 Mini Nova's, and two Vision STV Nova tank's on a rotation, using two Spinner 1300's and a CRAP TON of drip tips. I think I can justify that approach. I trust many of you are with me on that. I will vape like this for a year or so... or maybe until Christmas... then its a VV/VW Mod and possibly RBA's!!! I do love my Nova's.

That's odd it still tastes burnt afterwards. I haven't used a mini VN, but I wonder if the rubber isolater isn't being schorched by the wire.

Yeah... it was horrible. Had a burnt taste after several cleanings. The main smell was right at the head/coil itself. As I said... it would glow just fine... I think the wick was beyond help. No biggie, I now have two Vision Mini Novas and extra coils so I am straight now :)

I have also found that dry burning them after cleaning was making them smell burnt... however I decided to "over dry burn" them... it helped a lot. I watched the coil as I was dry firing it and the coil got more and more shiny... by the time I was done there was almost no burnt smell. Also, there was very little burnt flavor and that went away quick. So I "over dry fire" them now until the coil is clean looking again.
