I've been, like a lot of people, having dry hits and bad air flow in my VN. After watching a YouTube video explaining the following I decided to take my tank apart to finally got to the bottom of the issues. I decided if I totally messed it up...It doesn't smoke well anyway.

I wish I had taken pics! Next time I definitely will.

I took a 1/16" drill bit and opened one of the 2 breather holes on the 510 connector. I plugged the 2nd hole on that connection with a toothpick.

Next I took the coil head out, pulled the rubber grommets off. On the bottom of the coil head there is a chrome plug. I Gently removed that and drilled the air hole out to 5/64th". Being aware of and very careful with the coil wire coming down the center of the post I reassembled the coil and trimmed the wicks. I cut 2 strands in half and cut 2/3rds off the others.

The coil head went back into the tank, rubber grommets back on and filled with a mix of Kona Cream and Jamaica Rum. I let that sit and wick up while I ate dinner.

Much much better draw and flow! The taste is dramatically better and so far no dry or nasty hits. I'm so happy I risked trashing this thing. I'll definitely buy and mod another Vivi Nova.

The whole fix took roughly 5 minutes... Really simple, however I take no responsibility if you try this and mess it up. I have no prior experience fixing or modifying ecig hardware.

Have a great night everyone... I'm off to vape the heck out of this thing. I'll touch base again with updates if anyone is interested.

Here is the YouTube link

I did not make this video or claim ownership of it. The method worked for me and wanted to share.

After a few days of use I've still not had any dry or bad hits. It's been really consistent. I am using this on a vision ego spinner at about 3.8 volts. I found when I run on an ego-t at 3.3 volts like I use to its just too airy of a vape...I don't like it.

Thank you for coming up with this mod. I did it and it made the draw perfect. Another benefit I'm seeing is it uses about 1/3rd less juice! I also see a difference it taste because of the additional airflow.

I did mine a little differently. You don't have to remove the grommet. Just pull the center post off with your fingernails, just make sure your fingernail isn't on the wire or you'll poke under your fingernail and that'll bring a tear to your eye. They pop off pretty easily. I used a drill for the first atty head, but you don't need it because you're not really drilling though the little spout. It's breaking off before you drill through it. So for my other 5 heads I just used a punch.

I also didn't drill out the the air hole on the base. I'm glad I didn't because the draw is perfect for me. When you're done just wash off the post and pop it back on. Easy peasy; took me literally 1 minute to do each atty.

For those of you thinking of doing this it's super easy. If you don't want to do it for the easier draw do it for juice conservation and better taste.
