So I new got a Viva Nova- the first liquid I put in it was one I got from a local vender Pineapple peach Ice. It was terrible and I can't get rid of the taste in the wick. I was told to not dry burn or even wash your wicks. So I just put new liquid in that I do like. Ugh after a day the taste is still there. Do I just throw this one away and get a new one or do I try washing it and letting it air dry?

(I am patiently waiting for some juices from Ahulision, Ec Blend, Zues and Mr E in the mail-but in the meantime)

I would soak the head in pga or Vodka overnight, rinse in warm water, carefully pat dry the exposed wicks with paper towel, let it dry for a few hours and dry burn it. I know some people don't like dry burning, but I do it all the time with Vivi Novas. I find it's the best way to get them clean when they get gunked up and I do this often. In this case I feel it would help get any taste out of the wicks under the coil. There is also nothing wrong with washing the wicks, just be careful to not pull the wick sideways or you could damage the coil.

The thing you don't want to do when dry burning is let the coil get too hot. I never hold the power on past red hot, avoiding orange. Get the coil too hot and it will pop (melt) which means it's garbage. If you're not comfortable with dry burning, I suggest you try the pga soak, water rinse, let it dry and then vape it. This does have a chance of working, but I'm not confident about it.

HTH!

Washing out the wicks is fine, I just hold them under running water, squeeze out with a paper towel, refill the tank drip one drop on the coil, let sit for 5 minutes to soak and vape away. I like the vivi as they are so easy to clean up, the very tiny little bit of juice that may be in the wick under the coil I just ignore.
