I've never actually had a wick burn, and I've been using Vivi Novas and Vivi Minis (the same thing, but with a smaller tank) ever since they came out. If you're burning Vivi Novas, then there's a good chance you'll burn any other kind of wick as well.

A bunch of questions for you: What, exactly, is your procedure as regards filling? What voltages are you using on which resistance heads? What is your e-liquid?

We need to know much more before the folks on this forum can help diagnose your problem.

I usually fill to the bottom of the silicon cap then I take a couple of hits without firing to make sure the wicks are wet. I use 2.4 ohm heads set at 3.6 volts with my varitube made by vaping zone. I use 50/50 liquid from vaping zone.

I won't say it never happens, but it shouldn't be an ongoing issue. I don't fill that high, as it tends to get flooded. Flooding can cause it to overheat rather than properly vaporizing. Try not filling it so high, and blowing out any from the air hole when it gets flooded.
