i just did a dry burn on my nova 2.4ohm head.. but before i do that, i boiled it in water for a couple of minutes.. then took it out, tap it dry and dry burn it.. not sure whether what gunk or whether was there gunk, but did the dry burn for a while.. compared to yesterday when i tried the dry burn for the first time, there is no burnt plastic taste as compared to yesterday..

I remove that fiber tube when I recoil my heads. I rewick with cheesecloth. If I overfill the first tank or tip it too soon, it will flood, but once the cheesecloth saturates and expands, I don't get any more flooding. I also place a bit of cheesecloth wick over the coil so that the coil stays nice and saturated.
