I been reading, but I'm still unsure of this ohm thing with the Vivi.
I got this thing today. really like it.
I'm using the 2.4 ohm that came installed.
That should be good with the Twist 1000 mAh right?
But what about the 1.8 with say a standard Volcano Inferno 650/900 mAh?
Will the 1.8 ohm cause to high a wattage draw? That could actually damage the Inferno?
Plus, all these people checking ohms on these coil heads are actually getting a much higher
reading then what there actually rated at! That makes things even more difficult. {I've not checked these yet}
Because you can't even trust the build quality! I want to order some heads.
I was thinking of 2.4 for both devices? This sound right or wrong?
Or do you have to have multiple heads for a better vape?
I ordered the Vivi to minimize hassle, carto's, switching fluids, etc.
It is cool! Just have to get this Ohm deal worked out.
Thanx for the help.

You can use any of the three Vivi Nova heads (1.8, 2.4 and 2.8ohm) with your Twist. You would want to dial the voltage down for the 1.8 and up for the 2.8. I usually run my Twist at about 4.0 or 4.1 with a 2.4 ohm head.

For a 1.8 ohm head, I'd set it at about 3.6 or 3.7 and see how it performs. Then adjust the voltage up or down from there to suit the juice and your vaping style.

For the 2.8ohm head, I'd set it at about 4.4 and adjust from there. That's the beauty of variable voltage.

None of those heads will harm your Inferno, but the Inferno may not put out enough voltage to atomize the juice enough with the 2.8 ohm head. It should work fine with the 1.8 or 2.4 ohm heads. Caveat: If the resistance of the 2.4 ohm head is actually higher (say 2.6 or more), it might not work that great on the Inferno.

I was unaware that this was a widespread problem, and now I don't feel so bad. I measured two 2.4 heads and they came back at 2.6 and 2.7 ohms. On the other hand, the 2.8 that I measured was spot on.

OK so I found this thread on ECF giving a link to a 'Safe Vaping Power Chart'

Only after a bunch of experimentation, and reading some comments, and watching some of GrimmGreens vids I discovered I prefer to vape much closer to about 10Watts power - which the chart above says is bad.

There's another chart on Grimms website he got from the reddit which is more detailed and is over here.

Not content with either of those I went and made my own in Excel. (click image to see a bigger version)

Taste is subjective. If you were a pretty heavy smoker like I was, and you like a bunch of throat hit and warm vape, then go more yellow, and maybe even purple. If you like it cooler and smoother stay green.
Some juices taste better at lower power, some taste better at higher power.

Also note that what it says on the label of your head might not be entirely accurate, for that matter the voltage display on your VV device might not be spot on accurate either. Use these as a guide and start off with less power. You'll do less damage starting lower and slowly bumping up the power till it tastes good to you, than you might if you go straight in at high power and reduce it if it's too harsh.

Hope this helps.

For a non-variable voltage device, in most cases it's going to be running around 3.7 volts, depending on the battery. The 1.8 head is probably the closest to the "sweet spot". The lower the ohm rating, the lower the voltage you need to apply to it to get the same wattage.

Thank you very much :)

im steadily getting 2.8 for my 2.8s, and 3.2 for my 3.2s, but generally about 0.4ohm higher on the 1.8s and 2.4s.

I have a 3.2 that reads 2.7 (lol) and a 2.4 that reads 2.6. Most of mine are 1 or so above or below what it's marked, but both of my 3.2s read much lower than 3.2. I haven't checked the rest of my 3.2s yet as I don't mind that they are around 2.8/ 2.9.

I am using an Inferno running a Vivi Nova Slim on it at 1.8. It work AWESOME! Highly recommend. The 2.4 won't work as well. It will be less vape and throat hit. Unless that is what you want. I've been running this for almost 2 months. No issues. I'm even still using the same atomizer that came on it. Just occasionally taking it apart to clean. They are very easy to clean.

I am also running the Vivi Nova on an Joyetech eGo-T 18650 Mod. Highly recommend this mod! Recently I've tried a Single Blank Vision 3.5ml Clearomizer (2.5 - 2.7 ohm) from AquaVapor. Work very well. This mod only cost $23 at myfreedomsmokes.com. This is the only place I know that sells it this cheap and yet comes with an 18650 battery.

Hope this helps you :vapor:

this is the overwhelming response, and it coincides with my results as well. my 2.8s and 3.2s were all spot on. the 1.8s are 2.4 and the 2.4s are 2.8s, give or take a tenth of an ohm.

yeah its no big deal at all when it comes down to it. unless of course you dont have vv. the etched head doesnt mean much to me anyway because i have rebuilt ones mixed in with the factory ones. the rebuilt ones will vary in resistance.
