Vivi Nova - one wick or four?

I got some replacement wick/coil assemblies for my Vivi Nova tanks along with a juice order, and I see that they look like they have one wick. The tanks I am using have four wicks. Am I supposed to unwind the single wick into threads when I install it? Or are there just different models, and if so, what's the difference? Any info appreciated, thanks!

(And hey, what happened to the Turkish Thetan from last night? I was looking forward to getting up and reading forty pages of insanity, but I guess the moderators have to remove off-topic threads?)

The four-wick head came with a setup I bought from e-bay - a 650 maH eGo-c Twist with the 3.5 Vivi Nova tank, case, and charger for thirty bucks. The tank is clearly marked as a Vivi Nova and doesn't appear to be a knock-off. I bought two replacement heads from ...ummm...litecigUSA, I think? along with some Nuport juice and an 1100 maH battery. Those have just the one wick. I don't know if they're made by the same people as the tank, but they were marketed as Vivi Nova replacements.

LiteCigUSA is a reputable vendor for sure, but the Vivi Nova heads they have listed are pictured with 4 wicks, and also 1 with a single wick...hmmm? It looks like the different resistance coils have different wick counts. The description on LiteCigUSA says that the picture shows one of each resitance. Vision Vivi Nova replacement Atomizer Heads

I've found I get better performance with my Vivi-Novas by trimming the wicks shorter and unraveling whatever wicks I'm using. I vape a 50/50 mix of PG/VG which can be a bit thick, the shorter distance the liquid has to travel to get to the coil seems to work. You do need to tip your PV when the tank starts to empty, but the act of taking a draw is usually enough to wet the coil when the wicks are fluffed up.

Hmmm. Maybe they are a different resistance, the replacement one I picked up. Truthfully, those lil tiny numbers are difficult to see (about like the numbers on the bottom of the eGo Twist!) Ahh, age...

Guess I'll give them a try. I was thinking tonight I might ought to replace the coil/wick in one tank, since I got a couple of burny-tasting hits, but I dunno. I've only used it for about five days, not quite finished a 10 ml bottle of juice, and the juice is just 24 mg menthol, neither thick nor dark. Seems like folks here are getting more life out of their wicks than that. I did wash one set-up and it's sitting on a paper towel drying. I will try that one out tomorrow and see if the washing makes a difference.

There are numbers on the bottom of the eGo Twist......well, I'll be a monkey's uncle. There are numbers there! Never noticed that. :p

Those burnt hits are probably due to juice not getting to the wick rather than the wick getting gunked up. That is my biggest gripe with top coil clearos. Even with mophead wicks, they just don't soak up the juice as well as I'd like personally. Even so, you should be able to get through 20-30 ml of thin and light juice.

Brand new..these always vaped well for me, but they have a sleeve in them that can restrict air flow after a few days with my darker liquids.

Once the air flow gets really tight, I never had much luck trying to clean them in any way.

I put on a fresh head or rewind them with a home-made coil at that point.

My wicks are different from his...but the vid shows possibilities :)
