Hey guys, I've been using Ego T2 clearo's since I started vaping a few months ago and I decided I'm going to try out the Vivi Nova. I found a website that has them pretty cheap, but they have 2 brands of Nova's, SmokTech and AClear.. Which one is the original, non-knockoff, best performing??

SmokTech Mini Vivi Nova << SmokTech MINI Nova
3.5ml Vivi Nova Variable Clearomizer << AClear Nova Variable

The website shows that they only have the MINI in stock for the SmokTech, which I was kind of leaning torwards anyways (I think the mini would look better on my VV battery), but I think I may get 1 of each the mini and 3.5mL Nova.. I just don't know which brand is the best??

I'm hoping to get better overall consistency from the Nova and hopefully better/thicker hits and more flavor, compared to the T2. I'll also be ordering some 1.8ohm coils for my T2 since my local vape shop is out of them, and might buy a couple Kanger T2's as well (I got Ego T2's from my local store but I don't see much difference).
.. I'd like to try a few other clearos too in the future, like the ProTank and the VapeOnlyBCC, but for now I'm going to stick with clearos that my local vape shop supplies the replacement coils for, just to make things easier.

Thanks in advance! :2cool:

Pro Tanks have arrived but they are just trickling in so they get snapped up fast, and only one US retailer has them right now. I can't comment on the SmokTech clone, but I use aClears as well as Vision ViVis and I like them both equally. You'll hear a lot of people saying anything but Visions are junk, but I've bought nearly a dozen aClears for $10 each at my local B&M store and they perform pretty much exactly like the Visions. In a way they are even nicer as they come with steel drip tips. People who have problems with them may not be very experienced with them or might be pod people.

Yep, both are knock-offs of Vision's VVN, but that doesn't matter much since it uses the same top-coil design as T2. Based on current vaping trends and reviews, I recommend getting a EVOD/Protank (bottom coil clearo), iClear30 (dual coil top coil clearo), or drunkerd tank (top coil tank but have 4 wick leads).

Skip the AClear and wait for Protank to restock. AClear is essentially a VVN (top-coil clearo), not worth it IMHO as there are so many other better alternatives.

Keep in mind all BCCs (T3-type and VapeOnly) provides a slight cooler vape due to the design. If you want a warmer vape, the recent release of iClear30 is getting rave reviews. More flavor and vaper due to dual coil design as well as having 4 wick leads instead of 2 to consistently feed the eliquid to the coil (=less dry hit). Just though it's something you might want to consider.

I disagree about cedric's claim that there are better choices, when cost and ease of use are considered. The aClear in particular is an excellent value at $10. Reliability has been seriously excellent for me, and I don't think I lucked out. The design is just pretty solid. You do have to take a moment to make sure it is set up right, but once it's ready it just goes. Priming the coil and tipping your mod when you draw are about as complicated as it gets. I'm not kidding when I say I've been vaping for six weeks and in that time I've had maybe five dry hits, all in the first week.

I dig a cool vape and the difference between a top coil and bottom coil to me is not very apparent.

That said, I still think the best choice will end up being the Pro Tank once users get them in their hands and start giving some feedback. A relatively inexpensive glass tanked replaceable head unit is going to be a big hit as long as it works, and Kanger is no newbie. I'm expecting great things.

Don't get me wrong, I started with VVN on an EgoTwist back in Aug. and it still remains in my rotation to this day (mainly for DIY'd ADV). Easy to rebuild (<30sec per head, still using the heads that came from kit), solid (except for the rubber grommet), and provides consistent FTV, but compared to my T3 the difference in flavor is just impossible to ignore (this is coming from a VVN fanboy) and hence not worth it IMHO because (1)the OP is already using a top-coil clearo so switch to VVN or its clone will only result in similar vaping experience and (2)you can get a T3+heads for roughly the same price if you look around. I get the "tip and twirl" = no dry hit on VVN, but with BCCs, drunker, iClear or other newer clearos, you don't have to and you get more flavor out of your eliquid. Now, the only situation for me to recommend VVN to someone is only if that person is specifically looking for a top-coil clearo that can be easily rebuild or are interested in modding it (i.e., dual coil VVN with SS/cotton wick). But for everyone else, BCCs are definitely the way to go, but the iClear30 is definitely a strong contender (too bad it's more difficult to rebuild). Just my :2c:

Have both VVN (Genuine & Aclear) I cannot tell the difference besides that the Aclear looks better with the silver drip tip than the VVN, I would say that you should try the Aclear.

On the other hand, you can also try a an evod, these are cheap and also the heads are cheap and provides a very similar experience as the Kanger ProTank.
