Vivi Nova w/Provari Issue

I posted the below question on the "tank" thread but thought I would also post it on the Provari thread. The forum wouldn't let me post to the Provari sub-topic section (maybe I need more posts, to be verified.... I don't know), so I thought I would post my issue here.

Last week I got a new Provari (which I love) and I bought two ViVi Nova tank systems to use with it. Both tanks worked great right out of the box -- I was in heaven! Then I started getting some dry hits. I read on one of the threads a suggestion to trim about a sixteenth of an inch off the rubber cap thing that goes over the coil of the atty and this seems to help the e-liquid get to the atty better.

Now, all of a sudden I'm having air flow problems. I put the tank on the provari, sucked, and it was like totally blocked. When the tank is off the provari, the the draw is fine. I tried a different atty and that didn't help the air flow problem. I put the other tank on and that worked fine, so it's not the provari. As I tightened the problem tank down (and I don't tighten much), the air flow stops. At one point the air flow came back and then got real tight again. Now, the tank that I had no issues is having air flow problems. Despite my fiddling, I'm at a loss on what the cause is. If anyone has any ideas that can help me, I would be forever in your debt! Thanx.

probably should pull the center post out a big on the vivi nova so you make contact earlier and dont have to screw as tight.. i have a provari mini too but i'm not sure if the provari's 510 connection is sealed and solid or not..

the worst case is the tank pushed the provari's 510 connection down which would suck balls

I don't have a Provari, but I have used my VN quite a bit on both a SB and LT Clone. There are times, where if you doe screw it all the way down it will impede the airflow. You could try a 505 to 505 adapter to give it a little bit of height. Also are you using the 2.5v Nova's? You will know if there are a couple of small holes just above the threading where it would screw into the Provari. If not, I know some people stated that they had similar issues with the originals. I think one fix was to drill a very tiny hole just above the threads to provide a little bit of extra airflow.

Thank you for the advise. I do have the latest vivi nova tank with the air hole above the threads. What I don't understand is that I have two tanks and the problem is only with one of the tanks -- the other tank works fine when screwed all the way down. I don't know if there's an airflow adjustment on the bottom of the tank or if the threaded part on the bottom of the one tank is just a bit longer where it doesn't allow any airflow once screwed into the provari. I'll try pulling the post up a bit as suggested, but I didn't think that was adjustable -- the post and the bottom of the tank seemed to be one solid piece. I did order a 510 to 510 connector to give it a little height, so I'll see how that works. I would, however, prefer the tank to be flush to the top of the provari. If I loosen the problem tank a little and don't tighten it all the way down, it works, but I get a little bit of leakage. I guess I'll either figure it out or switch to a different tank system.

Are there any recommendations for any other tank system to use on the provari that is easy to fill, provides consistent vapes without any tinkering, that sits flush on the provari, and that doesn't have have any air flow issues?
