Greetings fellow vaping Canadians! I’m more of a lurker/reader on this forum and the abundance of information and friendly peeps is amazing!

I’ve been analogue free for 4 months (yay!). I had tried to quit smoking in the past – unsuccessfully – which included going on the patch. When I was on the patch, I had vivid dreams which is one of the known side effects.

When I was smoking, I was a light smoker (still an addict!) and didn’t smoke much during the evening/before going to bed. I am now an anologue free happy vaping girl....I vape more in the evening than I smoked. Would that be the reason for the vivid dreams? I sometimes feel like I’m not getting a good night’s sleep because of the vivid dreams. Anybody else experience this? Cheers to all :toast:

I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that.

A thought just occurred. Ciggs apparently contain MAO inhibitors among other psychotropic drugs, so stopping smoking likely alters ones brain chemistry which will lead to some wild dreams no doubt. I haven't had any beyond the usual, but have always had vivid dreams anyway.

Ya know ... it's funny you mention this because lately I have been having a lot more vivid dreams than is usual for me ... never thought there was any vape connection though ... but who knows?

Oh and congratulations to you for being analog free :D

I occasionally get some vivid dreams but not enough to have ever related it to vaping. I've been completely smoke free and vaping for almost a year now, and I chain vape my head off with 18mg juice. Maybe its just a chemical reaction to your whole entire system detoxing from the nasty crap you once inhaled with cigarettes.

The more I think about this subject I actually remember I've had some horrible vivid dreams when I smoked, but anything I dream now is either fun, pleasant or just normal but never nightmarish.

I think I've always had vivid dreams so I'm not sure it's related to vaping for me.

Last night I dreamt I was in high school again and me and another girl were sneaking into a back room to drink some dijon flavored vodka and when I looked at athe bottle up close it had tiny shrimp floating in it. I had another one where I came home to a kitten that looked really strange, it's face was pinched and it's eyes were really close together. It kept jumping and spinning in the air and slamming itself into the wall, lol. I love having vivid dreams as long as they're not scary.

Are your dreams causing you to wake up? You mentioned that you weren't sleeping well? Maybe you can try vaping a lower nic level in the evening if thats the case :)
