volcano clearomizer with kicked silver bullet

i think the clearos are 1.5 ohm dual coil. my kicked silver bullet is running at 8 ohms. i tried using the volcano clearomizers on it last night and it worked for a little while but i got a terrible burning flavor on one of my pulls. can anyone tell me why this might be? based soley on the specs i would expext them to work well. i was thinking maybe i just just got a dud clearomizer?

Bad coil?
I'd try turning the power down on your kick...say about 4-5 watts and try that first. Too much power will "over-cook" your juice.
Could also be dry-wick... that will always give you a nasty taste...
Take a cpl pulls without firing, then try again.
