I just went down to the Volcano store to pickup their new Ego type device the "Inferno" today. I wanted to resupply because thats my PV of choice when I am out and about, and the pricing got my attention. If you live in Honolulu I recommend checking out their new vape bar in Waikiki its really nice with a friendly staff.

I picked up a couple kits, a 306 "Cisco is what they call it" atty, extra 1000mah battery, a couple cases, and a pack of cartomizers.

Kits included -

1x 1000mah battery
1x 650mah battery that doubles as a USB passthrough (really cool imo)
2x cones
1x atty
1x charger + usb adapter
1x usb to mini usb cord
2x button guards
1x soft case

So here are some first impressions.

First things first.. 1 year warranty on batteries.. Considering I get 3-6 months out of Ego's I had to get them to confirm it like 4 times. It's apparently true and they didn't seem like the type of people to give you a hard time when you came in or e-mailed about replacements.

The paint job on these alone is much better than my Joye eGo's came with. I will have to see how it holds up as my Joye stuff all chipped off over time, this might do the same. The packaging is also nicer than some of the OEM stuff I've bought before.

The batteries are a bit longer than the Joye equivalent though, I assume the 650 is because it has a usb port at the end of it. The button is identical to the Joye so I assume that some will stick (twist them to fix).

I went with the 306 "cisco" atty's because I have a ton of 510's and I didn't need another, they gladly switched the 510 one in the kit for a 306 at no charge. The 306 isn't listed as LR but it sure hits like one. It goes from cold to red hot almost instantly and has the bigger hit than a standard atty. It also can be drenched in juice without leaking so far, which is nice because I am notorious for drowning my atty's. Materials seem par for the course, so far I haven't found any particular atomizer that was just bar none better than the next.

The cones are press fitted with an o-ring holding them on. This is good AND bad. It's great because there are no junk ego threads to deal with, bad because although its a tight fit its not "secured" to the device. Call me picky but I can't stand a gap being bigger on one side of the atty than the other.

I also tried a juice while I was there, it was imported from China and didn't do it for me. I'm more of a US juice type of vaper. The cases were standard eGo zipper types, but were about $5 cheaper than I have paid in the past and they had color options.

I'll keep this updated as I beat this thing to death and let everyone know how it goes. I have had good luck with the parts I bought from Volcano in the past for my 510 so I'm remaining optimistic.

So after further inspection the button on the inferno is actually different than my egos. It is concaved in the center and has a much more solid feel. Hopefully it proves to be more durable over time. I'm not here to debate service and how that went, more to tell everyone what I think of this PV. So far this to me a better version than the joye ego and a far better value. Size is the only downside as it is larger, although for me its actually more comfortable because my hands are large.
