Hi guys,

First of all i'd like to say thank you for all the help certain kind members on here have given me already, specifically ShogaNinja and quinn818.

After reading through the posts on my last thread i have learned that the Ego Twist is certainly a fantastic product, but i just feel it is too big and as i intend to vape at work it is simply too much of a leap from a roll up to this in terms of size, and i need to get introduced to the whole e-cig/vaping thing a bit more subtly than this, so...

I've decided to go with a Volt, the 230mAh (smaller) version.

Problem is, i'm in the UK, and can't find anywhere which sells these kits at all! I know you can get them from Smokeless Image and they will ship to the UK, but the shipping costs are just under $40, which i think is simply too high. I may have to go with this option but thought i would go on here first and ask;

1. Is there anywhere in the UK that anyone knows about that sells the Volt kits, and

2. What should i make sure i get with the kit, added extras etc?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, and thanks in advance for any replies.

Hi Pabs, I'm also in the UK :)

I don't think anywhere here sells the volt as such, but from my understanding, it has a KR808D thread & the nearest thing to it is probably the V1p from jacvapour -

Sport and V1P full electronic cigarette starter kit Bloog UK

IMHO, it's overpriced for what it is & as it has a KR808 fitting, you will be pretty limited to what you can use on it.

Thanks for your reply. I've just received an email from a UK supplier who used to stock them but now doresn't as he thinks they are unpopular due to the 808 thread also.

He recommends this one - Kanger 510 Bottom Coil Kits - E-Cig Starter Kits

"these are made with the same type of bottom coil carto (same factory), but in 510 thread (greater compatibility)"

Is this perhaps a better option?

That is a good supplier that you linked to & that's a good price for a mini 510.

However do bare in mind that any type of mini battery will have a very limited life between recharging :)

I don't believe you can get the Volt kits in the UK, but Smokeless Image does ship to the UK. The Bloog is the same 808, but more expensive than the Volt. I've always preferred 808's to the 510's (which are everywhere) simply because the early 510's were a pain in the rearendus, and I've never looked back since the 808 and the Volt. There are just about as many accessories and a step up battery in the Volt (comparable to the Kgo) as one can find with the 510's, plus there is a very inexpensive 808 to 510 adapter that can be had to bridge the gap if so desired. Keep in mind, the Smokeless Image plans on keeping their Volt at the "starter" 808 level and have no plans for variable voltage batteries or fancy mods. I've been happy with my Volts, both the regular "mini" batteries and the step up X2, and I'm one of those rare birds that has no intent of "upgrading" any time soon. Volts have all the accessories and bling I want for my needs.

Check the videos on youtube by MrOutlaw (aka Outlaw Vaper), and the videos on Smokeless Image's website by Steeljan about the use and care of the Volt.

There are also a couple of 15% off coupon codes floating around out there for Smokeless Image that can certainly help negate the shipping expenses, if nothing else. Get one more post in and I'll be happy to name a couple in PM to you.

its not a volt but a cig-alike the RoK i say this because of the PCC it did me until i got work people broke in lol then i switched to a riva the rok has pre filled jobbies but re-filled myself when i got the burnt vape
its not fancy and looks like a normal ... packet apart from a red led on side
dont get me wrong its not a stunning bit of kit but it filled the gap i needed for about a month once the bodys at work got used to me vaping i felt i could hit them with the more "exotic" vape kit
may fill your needs but is not a perm solution :)

I'd go onto Smokeless Image's site and emial customer service or initiate a chat session with them to see if they have any UK outlets.

If you're going to go with a Volt get the 78mm batteries. They aren't much longer but will last much longer before needing a recharge.

If you go with another brand, check to see if they are sealed and voltage regulated. volt's are sealed and regulated to 3.6v.
That's what seperates the good ones from the also rans.

I just checked about international shipping from Smokeless Image. It's only expensive when choosing express. They also offer much lower cost shipping with priority and first class...making it as low as about $6-$10. There's a shipping calculator shown in the shopping cart so you can see what it will cost.
