I've been using my Volt for about a month now and I like it a lot but I'm getting really tired of filling the cartomizers all the time. It's messy, time consuming, and they never seem to produce the flavor and longevity of the pre-filled cartos. I would also like to visually be able to tell how much juice I have left. I've been reading about alternatives such as the Fluxomizers and Smokeymixers. Any advice on a better cartomizer for my Volt?

Hey there! First I should mention that I don't have any experience with Clearomizers or Fluxomizers, so my apologies but I can't help you there! However, I am a Volt user and really like the cartomizers compared to all the others I have used, so I'm just wondering if maybe you're not filling them with enough juice, or maybe vaping them dry? A dry carto will not wick properly and won't produce a lot of flavour.

What method are you using to fill your cartos, and how much juice do you fill them with? Do you top them off with juice regularly, or do you vape them until they're dry?

BTW - I'm not accusing you of not filling your cartos properly, just trying to figure out what's causing the issue!! It sometimes takes a bit of trial and error when filling blank cartos. Once you get the hang of it it's easy peasy, but until then it can be very frustrating!

I've been using both the "condom" method, which I find to be too messy and I also drip the juice in from the top, averaging about 25 drops. I've been using Halo and Smokeless Image juices. I usually vape them until I taste the burnt taste, due to the fact I'm away from home most of the time.

I think you may be underfilling your cartos a bit and vaping them dry. I usually get at least 33 drops into my cartos, and top them up with a couple of drops every hour or so. Cartos should always stay wet, and when they don't you kinda 'fry them' and burn the filling. Once they're fried, they may produce vapor but they don't hold as much juice and they don't produce any flavour.

I use the condom method and fill the condom almost all the way to the top, and slowly insert the carto a bit, let it soak up, push it down more, and so on and so on. It gives the carto a chance to really soak up the juice. Here's a good vid about how to fill cartos. He's filling a 510 carto, but the process is the same for 808 (Volt) cartos.

You might want to either bring a small bottle of juice with you (some vendors sell little keychain bottles) or fill up more cartos to use when you're away from home so that you don't vape them dry. You may want to pick up some new blanks, in case the ones you're using are burnt.

Hope everything works out for you okay!:)

After I vape about 10 puffs, I add about 3 drops to the top then go to another carto with new flavor, same routine. This way I never run them dry, I always have a fresh one ready to vape because I top it off after each use. To fill a blank carto, leave condom on bottom, I always fill it from the top, 10 drops wait a few, then ten more drops, then let it sit for 15 mins, check top of carto if it looks too dry add a couple more drops and vape. I don't like messes either! LOL bnrk
