On the side profile of the packaging there are: the name of the device, the color indication of this sample (Obsidian Black), two barcodes, the scratch & check, three main features in the form of icons, Qr-code.

Opening the package of the VOOPOO Doric Galaxy S1, the first thing I noticed was the lack of a charging cable, never mind, who doesn't have a USB-C charging cable at home? The other lack is that of a disposable spare cartridge, I'm sorry about this, but reasoning I thought that this is a kit created for economy and for maximum purchasing convenience, it all adds up. This new "Vape Pen" has a truly minimalist design, yet appears robust, simple and light to use with a weight of only 31.5g. The compact size and ergonomic shape make it comfortable to hold and easy to carry.

I received the "Obsidian Black" color version for this test. VOOPOO Doric Galaxy S1 boasts VooPoo's classic good manufacturing care, with the device made of zinc alloy, the product should therefore be durable and long-lasting. The pen-shaped design has ergonomic contours with two slightly flattened and opposing sides which improve both the aesthetic appearance and the user experience in handling the Mod. Note that there are no Airflow holes on the body of the Mod, this suggests a rather closed airflow regulation system for MTL, but we'll see later.

VOOPOO Doric Galaxy S1 shows its minimalist elegance without resorting to invasive decorations, in fact there are only the writings "Doric Galaxy S1" & VooPoo" but they are small, discreet and visible only when backlit. The small LED light offers a reminder on the level of remaining battery charge as follows:
Two-color battery indicator light:
• White LED; Charge level between 20% and 100%
• Red LED; Charge level between 0% and 20%

The charging socket is located on the bottom and the battery capacity of the VOOPOO Doric Galaxy S1 is 800mAh, which seems low, however it must be considered that this is an MTL device that works at low power, so you can vape all day (if you are not compulsive). Battery charging time is approximately 70 minutes. To reduce downtime, the device can be used while charging thanks to the passthrough functionality.

Doric Galaxy S1 pen uses magnetic thread for cartridge; inside the compartment there are; the sensor for automatic extraction and two small but powerful magnets that firmly bind the cartridge to the Mod.

The new pre-installed 0.7Ω disposable cartridge has an e-liquid capacity of 2ml and according to VooPoo it is able to reach a duration of 20 days, offering a sufficiently smooth and rich taste of vapor, furthermore the aim to reduce the oxidation rate of the e-liquid, for a rich, fresh and unchanged taste throughout the week.

Doric Galaxy 0.7Ω is a slim and slender cartridge in its appearance, it is made of dark colored PCTG, it has the side filling system with silicone tab, the soft silicone Drip-Tip is nothing more than a covering for the spout below, but it has undergone a UV curing process, it is also easy to clean, it is comfortable on the lips, however you can also remove the covering and vape directly from the cartridge spout if you prefer. As I mentioned before, there is no air inflow hole on the body of the Mod, in fact there are two small slits on the lower side of the cartridge which capture the air through the very narrow junction between cartridge and mod, this is a truly unusual solution , but which as we will see later is particularly profitable for MTL vaping.

For a wide choice of personalized vaporization, the DORIC Galaxy S1 device is compatible with the DORIC Galaxy 1.2Ω, DORIC Galaxy 0.7Ω cartridges, in the variants with Drip Tip in Pom and Drip Tip with paper and cotton filter.

► VOOPOO DORIC GALAXY S1; Final conclusions:
VOOPOO Doric Galaxy S1, in its simplicity is really well made, this little "cigar" offers a perfectly balanced MTL hit, I would say rather narrow, the vapor is moist and full-bodied, the flavor is particularly concentrated, really good, certainly at the top in the pod rankings with replaceable cartridges, I believe this exciting result was achieved thanks to the particular "closed circuit" air flow system without external holes in the mod and with no adjustments, I would never have said it, but it is a winning system. I have been using the same cartridge with my creamy e-liquid for two weeks, the flavor is still very good, in the last period the coil overfeeds slightly and tends to bring some liquid into the mouth, however it worked like clockwork for a really long period and without inconveniences or unwanted formation of condensation. The Doric Galaxy S1's integrated 800mAh battery guarantees constant performance even with low charge levels and allows you to consume approximately 5ml of e-liquid before being recharged. The battery capacity is enough to meet the daily vaping needs of most users. The minimalist aesthetic will appeal to those who prefer understated elegance in their vaping devices. The combination of robust materials for the construction of the VOOPOO Doric Galaxy S1 kit guarantees a certain degree of safety against impacts and falls in daily use and therefore greater longevity for this device. In conclusion, I recommend the VOOPOO Doric Galaxy S1 pod kit because it offers excellent performance and flavor, simplicity, practicality and reliability. Ideal for both new vapers and experienced users.
