VP2-BB Draining batteries

As the title suggests, it seems that merely putting a battery in the thing and screwing in the cap, will render the battery dead within hours.
This is with any atty/carto combo. It's such a simple mod, I realize there isn't a lot of troubleshooting but wondered if anyone had the same issue.
