Received Doffy's banksia blocks, resin is super hard and the colours are gorgeous!

Nauti's 18, the sandwich with the lancewood will be split down the middle with amboyna laminated to the lancewood, and a layer of rimu veneer either side of that to make 8 layer caps, once the silver and amboyna outside layer are on.

NatGasMan's colourful 18 and his partners oak'n'bone (same as elements one) underway too

Gasman's dyed burl is going to be a visual concert with a glass like CA finish.
Nauti's caps will spillith over with intensity!

As Doffy noted, ebay is a good place to start. My block came from the seller onemill.

He'll ship directly to Vaughan, which is nice.

Do yourself a favor read this thread, there are some great tips on woods and stuff in here and it sure reflects on the choices of wood that I have bought since Vaughan made my first one.

i managed to bend something last clean

just worked out then if you take the bottle out, you can get a multimeter probe to the silver bar. Turned out to be the small leaf, as Vaughan told me it would be

Just had a customer in for juice saying that he held one of my mods in aussie a while back, in a chance meeting. "Older fella, nice bloke" he said. Figured it would be Doffy so I showed him the mod, "yep that's him". Small world....lol
