Jazz, very nice pair of VR mods. I love the walnut with the buffalo horn and the bone looks so much better on the matai.

Great photos too. I wish I could take photos that looked that good.

No they are not interchangeable since the Walnut is taller than the Matai.

Would have been sweet...er, but how good do you/I want these to be. [emoji12] Next TWO (2) I will demand the caps be interchangeable. [emoji57] Not!

I leave it to Vaugh to answer that. My guess is that the slight adjustment needed (done for free) may have required some alteration of the body.

In any case, it makes no aesthetic or functional difference to me.

Each one is made individually to fit and show off the individual piece of wood. They are not made from any measurements or precuts.

Each one is slightly different by nature, and hand work always is, but the height difference is due to an updated switch design (larger magnet and another small bend), meaning the mod over all is 2mm taller in the body than the ones before. I am constantly finding small ways to improve these, fine-tuning happens over time I guess....

Hesitant at first but just built the second Stumpy to the Matai.

Seven wraps of 24 awg came in at 0.32 ohms. What a smooth, flavorful vape.

Phil's spalted beech burr ready for 510 and switch, and Blue's blue just before the copper fill. Will show a fleck of copper in the tiny voids only on close inspection. sanding tomorrow morning so will post a few pics in the arvo. BENTHOS's blue para has caps made too...

I barely missed mine We had a funeral to attend before leaving town. Checked the mailbox and had the dreaded slip. Hopefully the pot office will hang onto til I get back friday and can swing by and pick it up.
